Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has been one of the most trending names in the past week after returning to WWE to presumably position himself as Roman Reigns’ rival at WrestleMania 40 instead of Cody Rhodes. This decision by the company angered fans. The wrestling community has expressed their disapproval on social networks and in shows with jeers and chants favoring Rhodes.

Even fellow pro-wrestlers have come forward to express their support for the American Nightmare while criticizing Johnson’s inclusion. And now there’s another name on the list of critics speaking out against the decision. Seth Rollins too has come forward and spoken against the Rock’s appearance.

The Architect reveals the wrench in the storyline

In an interview with The Rich Eisen Show, Rollins revealed that he wants to test himself against the best at WrestleMania, and for him, it is Cody Rhodes. However, he acknowledged that Rhodes has his eyes set on finishing his story and that ‘the Rock’ has been a wrench in the story. He said, “Cody is dead set on finishing this story for one, and two, we got a bigger wrench in the picture; his name is Dwayne Johnson, known in our world as The Rock.”

He further revealed that even he is not aware of what is going to go down in tomorrow’s press conference at T-Mobile. Seth Rollins stated, “Something’s going down; I don’t know what it is, but hopefully we’ll get some answers because we’ve been waiting since Royal Rumble and we ain’t got no answers.

Before the end of the interview, he further elaborated on why he didn’t understand the motive or the intentions behind the inclusion of the Rock into the storyline. “I don’t know what the Rock’s intentions are. He hasn’t made that clear. That’s what I’m saying. What are the answers? We need them. He showed up, he confronted Roman Reigns. Cody Rhodes kind of seemed to acquest but we don’t have any answers.”

Hopefully, Rollins and the WWE Universe will finally get to know the endgame behind the sudden inclusion of the Brahma Bull in what seemed like Rhodes’ path to glory by finishing his story. People within the WWE like Logan Paul, Michael Cole, and Sami Zayn have addressed the fan backlash, so what if it is all a part of a grand storyline? Maybe it could lead to a ‘Yes Movement’ 2.0? What do you think? Do you believe that the WWE would change its plans? What do you make of Rollins’ words? Let us know in the comments below.
