Evert retweeted her friend’s message on X and dropped a heartfelt reaction. “friends for life; yes, we have SEEN it all!!! ” wrote Evert reflecting on their long shared affection for each other. 

The WTA legend has a special feeling for Carter, which often becomes evident with how she tries to support and protect her friend in her friend’s socio-political opinion. Carter criticized this policy and highlighted how she had been impersonated wrongly. “Ready to do battle with @FakeLyndaCarter at this point.,” she tweeted. Evert came to Carter’s support and tweeted, “better not mess with the @RealLyndaCarter.” The WTA legend’s heartwarming support showcased that, no matter what, Evert will always be there for her old friend.
