The 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams is currently on a sabbatical from professional tennis. Williams last competed at the Wimbledon Championships in June 2021. However, former the World No. 1 knows how to spend her time while she’s away from tennis. She was recently spotted dancing with some wild moves in an Instagram post.
Serena tried to imitate the dance steps of a professional dancer. Williams’ admirers must have been amused to see how close she came in imitating the dance steps.

Serena Williams danced on ‘Level Up’
Apart from being the greatest female tennis player of all time, Serena Williams is quite an entertainer. She frequently posts hilarious pictures and videos on her social media profiles. Recently, she has come up with yet another interesting idea. Williams decided to try her hands at dancing.

Former World No. 1 took to Instagram to share a video of her dancing on the trending song ‘Level Up’ by Ciara. Moreover, as she posted, she wrote, ” A little dance off is never a bad idea.” In the video, she replicated some wild steps of a professional dancer. Williams elegantly performed the steps with a stick in her hand.
In addition, Serena Williams was all dressed up in a glittery black dress. Comments started to flood in as soon as Williams shared the reel on her Instagram profile. The singer, Ciara also marked a note, ” Get it”. To this, Serena replied with, ” I’m trying lol“. The professional dancer who danced with Serena Williams commented, ” It was an absolute pleasure to twirl with you.”

What’s next for Williams?
The 23-time Grand Slam winner hasn’t performed professionally since July 2021. She’s currently rehabilitating from her major hamstring injury, which she suffered at the Championships last year.

Despite giving positive news earlier about the upcoming Australian Open, Serena decided to pull out from the tournament in Melbourne Park. Thereafter, Williams hasn’t provided any update on her comeback to the tennis court. Fans across the world are eagerly waiting for the legend’s return to professional tennis.
