“I think hair is so versatile, especially Black hair, can be so versatile. … I love to play with colors, with textures, I love curls, I love it all,” Coco Gauff said in her pre-tournament press conference at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden this year. That joy for curls and coils translated into a big partnership last year when Gauff joined hands with natural hair-care brand Carol’s Daughter as an ambassador. And it wasn’t just a business deal. She was already a fan of the products. Since then, the collab has made waves both on and off the court. Before her season debut at the United Cup, Gauff rocked three different hairstyles from the same braids at the Oscars Vanity Party. And their latest campaign even has her mother going gaga!
This partnership isn’t just about looking good. It’s also about something deeper. After sealing the multi-year deal, Gauff said, “I’m excited to help continue their mission of empowering millions of women and little girls to embrace their curls and coils with pride and authenticity.” That mission started back in 1993 when Carol’s Daughter was founded. Since then, big names like Will Smith, Oprah Winfrey, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Jay-Z have backed the brand. With that kind of support, it grew into a leader in natural hair and skin care. Gauff said she was proud to be part of a brand that shares her values.
Just a few hours ago, Carol’s Daughter posted a new video on Instagram. The caption read, “You want hair like @cocogauff? Let your curls spring back stronger after every wash with our NEW Goddess Strength Curl Restoration Bonding Treatment.” Gauff didn’t just smile for the camera.

The American tennis icon shared her thoughts and said, “What’s my favorite thing about my hair? The versatility. I can beat it, twist it, straighten it, I can serve any look.” She also gave a shout-out to the new product. “Every time, after every style. The only way to make my hair spring back stronger. Not just strong, strong like me. Goddess Strong,” she added.
Even Gauff’s mom is hooked. Candi shared the video on her Instagram Story, adding red hearts to show her love.

Candi was once a track star herself. She competed as a heptathlete for Florida State University. But when it came to Coco, she put her own dreams on pause to support her daughter. She even quit her job to homeschool her. Through it all, she has always been Coco’s rock and biggest fan. And the mother-daughter love keeps growing.
