Just as Serena and Venus Williams were honored with the prestigious ‘Portrait of a Nation’ award back in 2022 – a moment where their elder half-sister, Lyndrea Price, subtly drew attention, prompting a loving “Love you sis” from Serena on IG – history seems to be repeating itself. Three years later, the 23-time Grand Slam champion is once again showcasing her gracious nature by stepping back and allowing Lyndrea to shine with her quiet poise.
Growing up in California, Serena and Venus Williams were raised in a household that included their father, Richard Williams, their mother, Oracene Price, and their half-sisters Yetunde, Lyndrea, and Isha.
Richard and Oracene married in 1980, making Richard the stepfather to Oracene’s three daughters from her previous marriage to Yusef Rasheed. Following Richard and Oracene’s divorce in 2002, it’s also noted that Serena and Venus have six additional half-siblings from their father’s side: sisters Sabrina and Reneeka, and brothers Richard III, Ronner, Reluss, Chavoita, and Dylan.

Lyndrea, the eldest of the Williams sisters, has carved out a remarkable path of her own as a designer and fashion merchandiser. Before diving into costume design, Price honed her skills as a web designer. She’s also known for her creative influence on “EleVen by Venus”, regularly contributing to Venus Williams’ popular fashion line, EleVen.
Beyond fashion, Lyndrea lends her eye for style as a costume designer on the hit American sitcom “Abbott Elementary”. Her story was even highlighted in the award-winning film ‘King Richard’, which chronicled the rise of Venus, Serena, and the unwavering support of their family.
Just a couple of hours ago, Serena Williams lit up IG with a chic and heartwarming video. In the stylish clip, the American tennis GOAT dazzled in a white and pink dress, striking elegant poses from various angles. Standing right beside her was her half-sister, Lyndrea Price, turning heads in a bold red gown paired with a white necklace and a floral headpiece, serving effortless glam next to her iconic sibling.
Serena captioned the post with a playful nod to their bond: “Have you met my sister? She’s the one in Red…. Me- I stick to pink 🩷💗👯♀️”.

Back in June last year, the Williams family made headlines when Venus and Serena turned Gucci’s ‘Spring 2025 Menswear Show’ in Milan into a full-fledged family affair. Tennis greats joined Lyndrea Price and Oracene Price in the front row, showcasing the family’s exceptional fashion sense during a photoshoot that captivated fans.
In 2021, Lyndrea and Serena shared heartwarming family photos on Instagram, captivating global audiences with their close bond. A humorous reel further showcased their relationship. Captioned “My sister’s beautiful voice… vs mine,” the clip hilariously contrasts Lyndrea’s soulful rendition of “Come Sail Away” by Styx with Serena’s, well, less harmonious attempt. Set against the backdrop of a peaceful water body from a boat, the video starts serenely before taking a laugh-out-loud twist that’s left fans in stitches.
And while Serena continues to delight fans with lighthearted sisterly moments, she recently turned heads with a sweet nod to her sister and longtime on-court rival, Venus Williams as well.

On April 1st, Venus posted a carousel of photos on Instagram with a stunning carousel of photos from a fashion shoot featured in “Harper’s BAZAAR’s” October 2024 issue.
The first saw her in a dramatic blood-red ‘shrug’ designed with an intricate coiled-rope pattern. The second was all elegance: a sleek jet-black dress exuding evening glamor. In the third image, she embraced minimalism in a crisp, ‘sleeveless puffed-up white top’. Finally, the 4th ensemble blended edge and class: a striking black dress with bold red and white accents.
The tennis icon teased the looks with a simple yet intriguing caption: “Fits that needed a second moment ✨.” Taking to her IG Stories, Serena reposted the fourth photo from Venus’ carousel and sweetly captioned it, “Love this @VENUSWILLIAMS”: a heartfelt nod from one icon to another.
