“Winning next match is on my radar. As usual, taking everything step by step is the best way to go. There’s still a long way. Yeah, I need to focus on what I need to focus on,” the 22-year-old said, elaborating on her strategy to desire one win at a time. Although she denied being ambitious, the Pole mentioned how difficult it is to emerge victorious in clay court tournaments.

“But obviously it’s hard to win these tournaments, especially when you don’t have time to really get used to the conditions if you play well in Madrid,” she added, pointing at the hardships she had to go through during her run for the title in Madrid.
