Australian tennis star, Arina Rodionova didn’t get a wild card entry at the upcoming Australian Open. Despite defeating 2020’s AO champion, Sofia Kenin in the ongoing Brisbane International, her name was not on the list. Now this decision of the tournament committee has surprised Rodionova. Even her fans are quite disappointed with her name being not included in the list.

Steadily rising, Rodionova has performed quite well at the Brisbane International. Winning two out of three matches in straight sets, she has shown that she is a promising contender for the AO.

Arina Rodionova retweeted a tennis source’s tweet where the source dropped the list of wildcard entries for the Australian Open 2024. Posting the list, even the source wrote a disappointing caption. It read-“Full list of #AusOpen main draw wild cards: Arina Rodionova, the Aussie #1 who beat 2020 AO champ Sofia Kenin in Brisbane this week, did not get one.” Now this tweet caught the eye of the Australian tennis star and she retweeted it to share the news with her fans.

I wish I could say I am surprised 😅 But honestly. The satisfaction of achieving it all absolutely on your own, despite all this stuff… it is worth it. I will see you guys at AO qualies in couple of days and I am PUMPED for this 😈 LFG

Rodionova added a message with her tweet, which read- “I wish I could say I am surprised  But honestly. The satisfaction of achieving it all absolutely on your own, despite all this stuff… it is worth it. I will see you guys at AO qualies in couple of days and I am PUMPED for this  LFG.” It is true that Rodionova has come a long way, and even though she didn’t get the wild card entry, she will be satisfied because despite suffering from a wrist injury , she has made a massive comeback.
