Venus and Serena Williams have dominated tennis for years now. However, they also have planned to play sports other than tennis. Earlier this year, the elder Williams daughter revealed that they wanted to pursue bodybuilder after they succeed in tennis. However, feels like destiny has other plans for the 23-time Grand Slam champion.

The Williams sister duo have accomplished a lot on the tennis court. They have given hope to women, to fight for their dreams. The elder sister has won seven major titles while the younger one has broken records and has the second-highest number of Grand Slam titles after Margaret Court. Serena has claimed 23 major titles throughout her career.

Venus Williams talks about their alternate sports plan

Shockingly, tennis fans would have never thought the iconic duo would have other plans. After Serena, Venus, who is also close to her retirement at the age of 42, talked about her alternate plan after tennis. A few months back, the tennis legend talked about her other interest rather than the sport itself.

She said, “Serena and I say we’re going to become bodybuilders after tennis. It might be extreme. It might not happen exactly like that, but you never know. From such a young age, all we’ve done is work. So I think for Serena and I to explore that freedom is surreal. We’ve never been free.” The American tennis star also talked about exploring various options as after their retirement, they will have the freedom to choose any other sports.

However, a couple of months back, the younger tennis star evolved from the sport to explore other arenas but has not talked about the time. Nevertheless, the 23-time Grand Slam champion has entered the fashion and business world with her whole heart after leaving the sport.

Serena Williams plans to be more than a tennis player

In the same conversation, the former world number one also added that she never wanted to end up only as a tennis player. She wanted to do more, achieve more in life and see life beyond tennis.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion also revealed that her father always advised them to have a plan for the future and seeing Williams after her retirement made her fans believe in the same.
