In March 2024, Angel Reese confirmed that she and her then-boyfriend had called it quits. During a live Instagram video, she revealed, “Yeah, I’m single. I don’t got no man. Don’t attach me to no man. That’s all I’mma say. That’s it.” It’s four months later, and it seems Reese is moving on.

On July 31st, The Shade Room revealed, “Okay! It looks like Angel Reese is spending time with Jalen Duren from the Detroit Pistons. People have been speculating about the two for a minute.” It all gained traction as Duren posted a sunset video from an unknown location on his official Instagram account this Tuesday.
Intriguingly, the background for this clip was quite similar to Reese’s pictures where she was laying out in a hot pink Gucci monokini matched with pink Chanel shades.

Within hours of posting, both stars were suspected to be spending time together. While Duren has been enjoying the offseason, Reese is on the WNBA’s Olympic break.

Reese had even stated, “We (Fletcher and Reese) both play the same sport, so we understand each other’s schedule. I think that also helps.” This makes the rumor more impactful, hinting at the possibility Reese might have bonded with Duren. This is why fans are quite sure about what they are speculating.
Fans making abuzz
While most of the fans are happy about Angel Reese’s rumored relationship with Duren, some are even annoyed. “Cute couple,” penned a user on X. “Double double machine couple… I love it,” added another X user. For Reese, her major feat came as double-doubles as it made her the first rookie to break the record. As of now, she’s at 15 consecutive double-doubles.
Duren, on the other hand, features 63 double-doubles in his career. While double-doubles is one, rebounding is another factor similar in both players’ basketball careers. “If they had a child together, it’d be born with a Hall-of-Fame rebounding badge,” added another fan. While Reese boasts 12 rebounds, Duren features a close 11.6 rebounds per game. However, Jalen Duren hasn’t played much this season.
In fact, all the games he has played for the Pistons had been a loss. Pointing this out, one of the spectators mocked, “First win of the season for the Pistons! We up!” However, not everyone seems to be pleased with Duren’s relationship with Reese. One of the users wrote, “She coulda did 100% better.” Overall, Reese’s relationship status is still single, and so is Duren’s since 2022. Until any of them turn the tables upside down by breaking these rumors.
