Before this incredible feat, the May 14 Fever vs. Connecticut Sun matchup saw 2.12 million viewers on ESPN2. With this, ESPN has not only topped CBS but also its viewership record.

It seems like Caitlin Clark is undoubtedly beneficial for the WNBA. Since her arrival, the WNBA has seen massive changes, including sold-out matches. For the longest time, the WNBA viewership would peak at a million but all the dynamics changed right from the WNBA draft night. For those unaware, over 2.45 million viewers tuned in to witness the WNBA No. 1 draft pick’s selection on ESPN. By recording this, Clark overcame the previous high for WNBA draft viewership of 601,000 viewers. It was during the 2004 WNBA draft pick when Phoenix opted for Diana Taurasi as their No. 1 pick.
