Sunday’s Fever vs. Sky (88-87) telecast on ESPN surpassed the aforementioned record, drawing a record 2.3 million spectators. Ryan Glasspiegal reported the same on his X, “Fever-Sky drew 2.302 million viewers on ESPN on Sunday, slight beat the previous week’s game on CBS, which was the most watched WNBA game in 23 years.”

Notably, the Fever’s 91-83 win marked the second time this season that the Women’s league crossed the 2 million viewership mark. Before this incredible feat, the May 14 Fever vs. Connecticut Sun matchup saw 2.12 million viewers on ESPN2. With this, ESPN has not only topped CBS but also its viewership record.

It seems like Caitlin Clark is undoubtedly beneficial for the WNBA. Since her arrival, the WNBA has seen massive changes, including sold-out matches.
