 In her freshman year, the forward was unanimously selected as the Big East Preseason Freshman of the Year. Her debut in the college basketball stage started with a 21-point and 10-rebound double-double and she finished year one with most points in UConn’s history, Big East Freshman of the Year, and first team All-American honors, among others. 

In her sophomore and junior years, she led her UConn squad to back-to-back undefeated seasons and championships. In the 2010 NCAA tournament, she was even named the Most Outstanding Player. Though in her senior year, UConn was not able to secure a three-peat, Maya Moore had her best statistical year.
