Caitlin Clark delivered another record-breaking performance against the New York Liberty on Tuesday. The Indiana Fever star put up 22 points, 10 assists, and four rebounds to help Indiana to a 106-92 victory. And in doing so, recorded her league-leading ninth 20-point, 10-assist game of the season.

Speaking in the postgame press conference, New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu offered a candid and measured acknowledgement of Clark’s performance.
“They’re a good shooting team,” Ionescu said. “Their bigs are a handful. We have to go and help in the paint, which allows kickouts. They have elite guards that are able to get into the paint and kick and spray. And Caitlin, being the head of that, with 10 assists, obviously her shooting ability, but also her ability to get downhill and make the right reads.
“If they don’t make all those shots, is it a different ball game? Who knows? I think it’s just one of those games where the ball went in for them and it didn’t for us.”
The Indiana Fever were close to untouchable in terms of shooting efficiency on the night. They connected on 53.6 percent of their field goal attempts and an extraordinary 64.0 percent from three-point range, finishing with 16 three-pointers overall and shooting 16 of 19 from the free-throw line. The damage was done particularly in the first half.
The Fever blew the game open by shooting 59 percent from the floor and a staggering 79 percent from beyond the arc, building a 64-46 lead that the Liberty never truly threatened to overcome. Their Big Three were responsible for scoring or assisting in 54 of those points. And Caitlin Clark was central to all of it.
She shot 7-of-15 from the field and 4-of-8 from three-point range, finishing with 22 points. But her ten assists were equally important, as she continued to operate as the engine that manufactured open looks for her teammates as much as she created her own. With this being her ninth 20-point, 10-assist game of the season, she has now surpassed the record she set herself in 2024 when she produced eight such games, breaking her own mark with games remaining on the schedule.
With the victory, the Indiana Fever improved to 21-12 on the season and sit fourth in the overall WNBA standings. Their next game is against the Dallas Wings on Friday, and a win would send them to three consecutive victories. Given the way they are currently shooting the ball, the Wings will need to find answers that the Liberty could not.
