Paige Bueckers is making the most of her offseason. She’s all set to star in the Apple movie Jess & Pearl and announced her participation in a golf show hosted by Diana Taurasi. But before all of that, she’s celebrating Thanksgiving, and she picked the perfect destination for it!

It’s the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Wings star spent the holiday by showing up for a high-energy NFL regular-season matchup. She stood at the stands supporting the Dallas Cowboys against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13 of the 2025 season.

To mark her attendance, she posted a photo on her Instagram story, seemingly taken from a VIP section. With her vantage point over the packed arena, she added a simple two-word caption. “Happy Thanksgiving!!”  she penned alongside a blue heart.

No doubt, it was a fitting way to celebrate a national tradition. But, she wasn’t the only one in a festive mood. The Cowboys also embraced the holiday after their 31–28 win over the Chiefs. Their star players, Dak Prescott, jogged to the locker room with a turkey leg in hand. He was followed up by several offensive players who enjoyed their own plates.

Even team owner Jerry Jones walked out holding a turkey leg, and all this was celebrated with loud music blaring inside the locker room. After all, the win marked Dallas’ first three-game win streak since 2023. Maybe Paige Bueckers is the team’s good luck charm, as this wasn’t her first Cowboys appearance.

She previously attended the October 19 matchup between the Cowboys and Washington Commanders. Even that game turned into an unexpected highlight reel for her. With the stands mostly empty early on, Paige brought all the energy. She laughed, posed, grabbed a football, and started dancing across the field like she owned the place.

She spun the ball, tossed a few passes to the camera, and chatted with people nearby. Classic Paige. And yes, the Cowboys won that game too, 44–22. So maybe Paige really is their lucky charm.

Why is Paige attending Dallas games?

It’s common for WNBA players to attend NFL games, but Paige’s presence stood out. As a Minnesota native who became a national star at UConn, many expected her loyalty to be tied more closely to her college roots. But her support for the Cowboys shows her priorities aren’t limited.

Even during her Monday appearance on What Drives Winning, she responded to critics who insisted she “needed help” after Dallas struggled through the season.

“I might have a good individual performance… We lose as a team,” Bueckers said. “Other people didn’t have their best shooting performance or whatever it may be. And you look at the comments… they’ll say, ‘Paige needs help.’ What we’re building as a team – I need to help my teammates on the floor be the best version of themselves. It’s not ‘Paige needs help.’ It’s that we all need to ask, ‘How can we help each other better?’”

And she has a point. The Wings finished with the worst record in the league, just 10 wins in 44 games. Still, Paige had a phenomenal rookie season. She made the All-WNBA Second Team, started the All-Star game, and won the 2025 Rookie of the Year award, breaking multiple records along the way.

But despite her individual success, she remains focused on collective growth. Now, she’s eager to help the Wings make a major leap under new head coach José Fernández – and she may soon be joined by the next No. 1 pick, who could very well be Azzi Fudd, her longtime teammate. So, it’s all roses for her!
