“What she was able to accomplish both at Iowa and now in the WNBA, and personally for her brand, is something that really no female athlete has been able to do at her age,” Morgan said, speaking on the Gamechangers: America’s Top 25 Female Athletes documentary, a clip of which was shared by Omaha Productions on X.

The Gamechangers: America’s Top 25 Female Athletes is an hour-long documentary countdown special that premiered on July 2, 2026, ranking the 25 greatest female athletes in US history. Morgan, a two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup winner with the US Women’s National Team, contributed to the documentary and features as a key figure within it. And she was not alone in singing Clark’s praises.

Popular American writer and comedian Fortune Feimster and WNBA broadcaster Ryan Ruocco also appeared in the clip.

“Nobody, in the history of the sport, has had a bigger metric impact than Caitlin Clark,” Ruocco said. “If you talk about the difference in ratings, the merchandise, the revenue, pre-Caitlin Clark, post-Caitlin Clark, it’s objective. Somebody who has that level of impact in the business of women sports, has to be on that list.”

And each also pointed to positives about what Clark has meant for the sport. Of course, whatever praise or compliments they’re giving to Caitlin Clark are very much deserved.

She did bring more visibility and growth to women’s basketball, both while in college and now in the WNBA. And she’s also a joy to watch with her impressive performances on the court, game in, game out.

Right now, however, Clark is away from the court, sidelined with a back injury she sustained during the Fever’s 111-109 loss to the Phoenix Mercury. She has since missed each of the last two games that the Fever played.

And even though the Fever have won both of those games in her absence, Indiana Fever fans are undoubtedly aching to have their star back on the court. Hopefully, that return comes sooner rather than later.

When Will Caitlin Clark Be Back From Injury?

Caitlin Clark’s back injury has been a nagging issue since the 2026 WNBA season got underway. After missing the last two Fever games, she has now missed three games with injury this season in total.

Coach Stephanie White has pointed to a cautious, day-by-day approach to managing Clark’s recovery. She didn’t provide a specific timeline or target game for her return when addressing the media.

Speaking to the media for the first time since the Phoenix Mercury game, Clark, however, shared a positive update on her recovery. She said she was feeling much better and was able to return to practice.

The Fever’s next two games see them face the Los Angeles Sparks. That’s followed by the Phoenix Mercury exactly a day later. According to Clark, she feels really positive about getting back on the court for at least one of those back-to-back games. Hopefully, that optimism translates into her making a successful return to the court in the coming days.
