Caitlin Clark couldn’t get the most out of her 2025 regular season. She was limited to just 13 games due to multiple injuries. But as she steps into the offseason, she’s ready for what’s next. Her clubs are packed, her fit is on point, and she’s bringing that same competitive energy to the greens. How could she not make it unique?

So, this time, she’s not going alone. Her teammates Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull will be joining her as celebrity caddies at Pelican Golf Club, alongside soccer legend Briana Scurry and NASCAR’s Carson Hocevar. And of course, Caitlin’s ready to give them quite the show. After all, it’s her second year learning from the greats, and she’s up for the challenge.

According to the latest update, Indiana Fever’s # 22 will once again be paired with World No. 1 Nelly Korda for the first nine holes. Then, she’ll join sponsor invitee Lauryn Nguyen for the back nine. For golf and basketball fans, and her friends, it’s a treat.

After all, it ain’t the first time CC will be sharing the fairway with Korda. Even last year, she competed with the world’s top golfer. “It was great to see how relaxed she was….Obviously, with the media attention she’s gotten over the past year and a half, you can see how comfortable she is playing in front of a large crowd. She was just really enjoying it.” Korda told NBC Sports back then.

“You can tell she’s very talented. She was picking the ball really clean. She was losing a couple of shots to the right, but I asked how many times a week she plays, and with all her obligations, she probably gets to the course once a week. For just playing once a week, she was playing really well.”

Talented, she really is-but more than that, she’s hardworking. When everyone else left the course, Clark stayed. In sweatpants, barefoot, under the setting sun, she kept hitting shot after shot. Some were good, some weren’t, but she didn’t stop. She just didn’t want to risk hitting any of the fans who had come to cheer for her.

A day later, that persistence paid off. She played eight strong holes and nearly two more. And, we get it, after all, playing alongside the world’s best isn’t easy. But Caitlin Clark isn’t your average star. After her round with Korda, she even hosted Annika Sörenstam for the back nine.

And now, it looks like she loved last year’s experience, and clearly, she’s ready for more. But Caitlin isn’t the only one enjoying this crossover. Even her fans follow. That’s why last year’s ticket sales reportedly jumped 12 times compared to the previous year. Still, Caitlin’s not just there to play!

Caitlin Clark is at golf to grow!

For CC, golf isn’t something new. It all started when she was six, playing with her dad, Brent, who taught her the game. Her parents even gifted her a set of pink and blue kids’ clubs for her eighth birthday. And ever since, she’s been hooked, and it has become an escape for her.

“You can clear your mind, do something you really love, and have the peace and quiet of just your friends around, or even just yourself,” she told Golf Digest on November 14 last year. “I love being able to escape reality for a little bit.” That escape, though, isn’t easy to find. That’s because W runs through the summer, the same time golf peaks. “So for that reason,” she told Nike, “it’s hard to get out there as much as I’d like.”

But CC doesn’t let the offseason opportunity go, and so she’s here. And honestly, why not? Golf brings both mental toughness and healing, something she needs after a rough season. She endured different muscle injuries and was limited to only 13 games. For a player of her caliber, who shattered more than 19 records in her rookie year, that’s mentally exhausting. So yes, golf is a therapy.
