The game between Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky had a lot of ups and downs for both teams as each one tried to dominate the other. However, one moment that stood out was when Angel Reese smacked Caitlin Clark in the head while trying to block a shot. Whether the move was intentional by Reese is still a debate in the balling circles. However, she paid the price as it was upgraded to Flagrant 1 foul and Clark got two free throws which she potted each of them.

In the midst of this, American Businessman Dave Portnoy tweeted the video of the same on the social media networking site X and supported Clark. As per Portnoy, Reese had intentionally tried to shove Clark to the ground. “Shocker. Angelo Reese and the Sky doing Angel Reese and Sky stuff. By the way Caitlin is cooking them,” Portney tweeted.

However, before Portnoy’s tweet could be marked as a conclusive decision on Reese’s foul, NBA star Kyle Kuzma came forward to destroy Portnoy and support Reese. As per Kuzma, Reese was well within the rulebook of basketball as this was an accepted move. “Bozo this is a basketball play,” Kumza commented on Portney’s tweet.

The intentions of Reese weren’t clear since the last time she had clashed with Clark in the WNBA, Reese was seen clapping when Clark was shoved to the ground by Chennedy Carter. Reese had also pushed Clark in that game. Plus in this game, she also wore the Reebok Joker shoes which many speculated was a hint of her accepting the role of a villain in the W.

Thankfully for Clark’s fans, it was upgraded as a flagrant foul 1. Meanwhile, as per Reese, it wasn’t a flagrant foul, and the referees got in her way of winning the match.

Angel Reese blames referees in the Caitlin Clark saga

As per the Athletic’s writer, Reese after the match blamed the referees for her defeat. She came forward to state that she had a hard time with the referees and that she was not in control of the refs. “It was a basketball play. I can’t control the refs. They affected the game obviously a lot today. I’m always going for the ball. Y’all are going to play that clip 20 times before Monday,” Reese stated.

Therefore, it remains to be seen how netizens will shape up the discussion after watching the clip, and in a few days, it will be clear whose side the internet takes and if they remain divided just like they are now.

Meanwhile, Clark’s fans will be happy since their star defeated Reese & Co. once again in a 91-83 game and they will be hoping that Clark goes from pillar to pillar just like she has done right now.
