The Lynx are on a roll right now. And they are having fun while doing it. With the latest win against the Dallas Wings, they are now 10-2 for the season. There were some concerns at the start of the season. Namely, losing key players in the offseason and injuries to stars like Napheesa Collier. These seem to be on the back burner for now.

Sharing a lighthearted moment after the game against the Wings, Kayla McBride puts it in context. She can be seen laughing while explaining the moment. The incident happened in the 2nd quarter when Natasha Howard lost the ball.

“Well, Tashy [Natasha Howard], you know, she just kind of rolled the ball and so I went and took off after it,” McBride said, as per Andrew Dukowitz on X. “And I thought Courtney was going to get it but she clearly didn’t. It looked like two old ladies chasing after the ball and still didn’t get it, you know.”

McBride thought Courtney Williams would get the loose ball. Instead, she fumbled it as well. Then it was Kayla’s turn to run after it. Now both Kayla and Williams were chasing the ball. It was like children playing hot potato. Nobody got the ball, or you can say, nobody got the potato.

The scene, as per Kayla, was like watching two old women running after the ball. In the end, it was just a Lynx turnover.

The moment could have made the WNBA version of ‘Shaqtin’ a Fool’, if ever there was one for the league. But this would surely have elicited a smile from the Lynx fans. Everything seems to gel for them right now.

It’s a good time for the Lynx fanbase as things stand. Their team is at the top of the Western Conference, with the best record in the entire league so far. They are also on an 8-game winning streak.

The Lynx are on a roll right now, along with Olivia Miles

Napheesa Collier suffered an ankle injury in last year’s playoffs. She was ruled out till June at the start of the season. The Lynx lost several key players in the offseason. But this team looks even better than the team of last season. And last season, they made it to the semifinals.

So the Lynx fans are hoping for championship contention this season. And why should they not? They probably have the Rookie of the Year in Olivia Miles. She is acting as an anchor for their game. They are playing well as a team. They are the best defensive team in the league, with a 97.1 rating and giving an average of just 78.4 points.

They had the second-best offensive rating in the league going into the Dallas game. And they just beat them too. They are leading in scoring with an average of 90.3 points. They are quite efficient in doing so as well, having 49.9 percent shooting from the field. They also have 37.1 percent shooting from beyond the arc, which is 2nd best in the league.

Olivia Miles is leading the team in scoring. She is Rookie of the Month, and fans are pitting her for the Rookie of the Year as well. And remember, the Lynx are doing without their star playmaker Napheesa Collier.

Miles has been their main playmaker till now. She is a great passer and has the vision to find teammates in open spaces. This has resulted in an uptick for Howard and Williams as well. Both are putting up 17.1 PTS on average this season.

So while the Rookie is leading the charge for now, this team will surely get better with the return of Collier and other veterans. It remains to be seen how they will adjust their chemistry then. But for now, they are on a roll.
