Hooping is no longer the only thing WNBA athletes do. In today’s era, many players have built diversified income streams that stretch far beyond the court, combining brand deals, personal businesses, media work, and modeling. We recently saw Angel Reese make waves at a Victoria’s Secret fashion event and there is growing buzz that Cameron Brink could soon appear in the pages of Playboy next.

“We’ll see, maybe if my fiancée approves,” were Cameron Brink’s exact words when she was asked whether she would ever consider modeling for Playboy. The comment quickly made the rounds online and was always bound to draw a response, especially from Kysre Gondrezick, the only WNBA player to ever become a Playboy Playmate.

“Oh yeah I’m buying the next issue 👀😍 @cameronbrink22,” she said on X. Kysre Gondrezick was selected No. 4 overall out of West Virginia University by the Indiana Fever in the WNBA Draft and later had stints with the Chicago Sky before making history as the first Black women’s professional basketball player to become a Playboy Playmate. What made her response more notable was that it seemed her relationship with Brink stretched back several years.

Why do we say that? Because when Cameron Brink was asked about posing for Playboy, the first person she mentioned was Gondrezick, who is currently recovering from an achilees injury.

“I just want to shout out Kysre though because she’s a good friend of mine and she’s going through a really tough recovery right now, but I know she’s going to kill it,” Brink said in an interview with TMZ. “So shout out to my girl Kysre. She looked absolutely beautiful. So I support absolutely anything she does.”

That said, it does appear that before fans ever see something like that happen, her fiancé, Ben Felter, whom Brink has previously praised by saying she feels “blessed” to be “marrying the love of my life,” would need to give his approval. That said, it would not be entirely new territory for her. She previously took part in a bold photoshoot for the sports and fashion outlet PLAYERS, something she openly said she enjoyed.

Brink and Felter’s relationship dates back to their time at Stanford University, where they first met in 2021. Felter later proposed in Paris during September 2024, timing the moment with Brink’s trip for Paris Fashion Week. He has since entered the tech space, recently launching a startup listed as Stealth on his LinkedIn profile.

While their relationship continues to blossom, Cameron Brink’s playing career shows no signs of slowing down, especially after her highly anticipated return from an ACL injury last season.

Cameron Brink Since Her Return From Injury

Cameron Brink returned from her ACL injury this season and appeared in 19 games for the Los Angeles Sparks, averaging 5.1 points and 4.3 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per game. The Sparks narrowly missed the playoffs, finishing with a 21–23 record. But it was evident throughout the season that the Sparks took a cautious approach, carefully managing her minutes as she worked her way back into game shape.

To continue her push toward full match fitness, she is currently competing in the second season of Unrivaled, where she is teammates with Rickea Jackson on Breeze BC. This season, Brink has averaged 11.4 points and 6 rebounds in just 11.3 minutes per game, highlighting her continued progress as she builds toward peak form.

With a 5–4 record, Breeze BC currently sit fourth in the standings, and the star center will be hoping to at least feature in the knockout stage of the competition. For Brink, the bigger positive has been the cautious progression, one that prioritizes staying healthy over pushing too hard too soon.
