Last Sunday evening, former LSU Tigers Flau’jae Johnson star attended the BET Awards as she was nominated for the ‘Sportswoman of the Year’ award. Notably, before making it to the WNBA, Flau’jae Johnson successfully held the responsibilities of Reese on LSU’s team since her departure. As she displayed impressive skills as part of LSU, this helped her to stand alongside Reese, A’ja Wilson, and Simone Biles for the BET Award nomination. However, she failed to take the award home.

Johnson lost the title to her ex-LSU teammate ‘Chi-Town Barbie’ but it seems that it had no impact on her as she started to vibe to her recently released song. Three days ago, LSU Tigers college basketball star Johnson released her track Who Really Make It. The track is part of her earlier released debut album ‘Best of Both Worlds’, which includes a feature from Lil Wayne on ‘Came Out A Beast’.

For Reese, on the other hand, the triumph isn’t just limited to the BET Awards’ win. In the last matchup against the Minnesota Lynx, Reese strategically secured her tenth consecutive double-double. Although Reese is already the first WNBA player to accomplish the highest number of double-doubles in a single season, her thirst is still unquenched.

With just one minute left and three points to secure her double-double, Reese showcased her relentless determination as she rebounded her attempts before making it to a loose ball foul that gave her two free throws. Despite missing the first, she counted on the second to achieve her tenth double-double. And this happened to be another reason for Reese to celebrate.

As Johnson manages to divide her time between music and hooping, she recently mentioned her once LSU teammate in her song.

Johnson always looks after Reese’s on-court achievements, which is quite evident from her song lyrics. In her album, she says, “Keep a double I feel like I’m Reese – I got me a natty. I got me a ring. I ain’t switchin’ no sides – I’m-a ride with my team. I go to LSU and I be reppin’ it like I’m Joe Burrow.”

Before making it to the WNBA, Reese and Johnson took the LSU Tigers to impressive heights. Last season, they led their team toward the NCAA Championships together. As part of LSU, they also collaborated off-court. Both once appeared in an Amazon commercial. “Hey guys, Angel here. Let me show you guys my room dripped out with Amazon for less…I like a clean room, no trash,” Reese posted on social media.
