The WNBA All-Star Weekend is heading to Indianapolis this July, and the excitement among Fever fans is reaching new heights! There’s obviously an extra buzz after Caitlin Clark announced her intentions to take part in the three-point contest and fans are counting down the days! The Indiana administration is working tirelessly to make this a success and they have some major updates regarding it.

The Indiana Fever took to their social media to drop some exciting news! They’re teaming up with Kevin Hart’s company, Hartbeat, where he owns 85% of the company at a $552m valuation, to take the WNBA All-Star festivities to another level. Their post read, “Pacers Sports & Entertainment and Hartbeat, founded by@KevinHart4real, are forming a first-of-its-kind partnership to deliver exciting, culture-driven experiences to our fans and the Indianapolis community, tipping off with a music and comedy festival taking place during WNBA All-Star 2025.”

The news definitely got people talking, but not exactly for the reasons the Indiana administration had hoped. Fans took to social media to express their disappointment over Kevin Hart’s involvement in the All-Star festival once again, and the reactions weren’t pretty. The frustration was real, and the fans didn’t hold back. Let’s dive into some of the responses!

Fans fume at the prospect of Hart ruining Clark’s weekend!

Kevin Hart is a name synonymous with the NBA community. He is seen regularly attending the 76ers games and has been part of many All Star weekends before as well. I mean, who could forget the 2016 All-Star Weekend when he went head-to-head with Draymond Green in a 3-point contest and nearly pulled off the upset? But his recent theatrics at the latest All-Star Weekend have left fans pretty disappointed!

Naturally, the news from the Indiana Fever has sparked a wave of frustration among fans, and they didn’t hold back in voicing their opinions. One fan vented on X, saying, “Oh hell no! We do not need to hear @KevinHart4real annoying voice anymore. He’s in way too many ads already. 😵‍💫” Another fan joined in with, “Oh lord here we go again.”

It’s pretty clear that Caitlin Clark fans aren’t thrilled about Kevin Hart being involved, no matter what his company promises. One fan vented their frustration, saying, “No more Kevin Hart, did they not see how annoying he was at the NBA All-Star game?” Another joined in with, “He literally was annoying during the NBA All-Star game, this is a mistake.” There was a fan who was just done with hearing him, adding, “As long as he’s not commentating on anything, I’m all right with this 👍🏾.”

Fans obviously didn’t like the NBA All Star weekend. We were forced to watch commercials, more than enjoying the action! In the three-hour All-Star segment, fans only got to watch 42 mins of actual in-game action, which obviously did not sit well with anybody. To make matters worse, Kevin Hart seemed to be everywhere, stealing more screen time than the actual NBA stars. The final between Team Shaq and Team Chuck was abruptly cut short after Team Shaq took an 11-1 lead, only for fans to be forced to watch Hart crack lame jokes. It’s safe to say that the frustration level was through the roof!

Kevin Hart is undeniably a funny stand-up comic, and one fan on X even supported this by saying, “He might have been funny doing stand-up, but this stuff is awful.” But after his lackluster performance at the last All-Star weekend, it’s hard to blame the fans for being frustrated as they don’t want Clark to experience the same thing the NBA superstars did. Personally, I think the spotlight should always be on the players, after all, they’re the ones who make the game exciting, not the hosts!
