Hardly there can be a basketball fan who isn’t familiar with Caitlin Clark’s brewing rivalry with Angel Reese. However, not many are aware of one recent feud she’s having off the court. Seemingly, the competitive nature of the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer was on display last week during a community event in Indiana against the 7-year-old Eli Krost.

Accompanied by Pacers forward Isaiah Jackson, Caitlin Clark joined hands with Group 1001 and Habitat for Humanity in Boone County to help provide stability to the Krost Family. There she decided to engage in some basketball action with the local children. During which she came face-to-face with Eli Crost who happened to be quite a baller himself. So much so that Eli could hand the Indiana rookie a 6-2 defeat. However, the moment that caught a lot of traction among fans was Caitlin Clark adorably embarrassing him. Apparently, she blocked the little Krost 5 times in this parking lot pickup game. “It wasn’t fair. I was playing a WNBA player that’s a superstar.” Eli said after his encounter with the 6-foot guard.

Caitlin Clark was on a volunteering mission in one of her off days of professional basketball. She was in Boone County to play her part in helping the Group 1001 and Habitat for Humanity build a new home for the Krost family. They lived in a trailer earlier which was not fit to live in after an unfortunate fire destroyed it completely. Following this, they are forced to live in another trailer with an unaffordable rent. At this time, Eli’s single father Dusten approached the affordable housing solutions for help. He explained the procedure further by saying, “Our trailer was falling apart so I applied and we went through an orientation process and I got assigned a budget coach, and from there we went off.” 

Anyhow, this is not the only goodwill by the 2× USBWA National Player of the Year.

Caitlin Clark makes a dream come true for Eli Krost

Eli Frost also expressed his desire to witness Caitlin Clark in action. He said, “I want to go to a Fever game. I want to go to a Fever game really bad and I really, really want to see Caitlin Clark’s teammates.” Consequently, Group 1001 arranged for courtside seats for the whole family.

Here, sisters, Ava and Megan, along with dad, Dusten accompanied the 7-year-old. Just before the game, Clark welcomed the whole family while Eli charged toward Indiana’s No.22 for a big hug. Soon after, they witnessed Clark take on Angel Reese and Co. up close and personal from seats 5-8 in Row 1.

Indeed, it was a special gesture from Caitlin Clark. Her fans are glad and celebrate the fact that she’s not just a winner on the court. Anyhow, this does not come as a surprise to many as she has displayed such acts of kindness before as well.
