I’m incredibly sad and disappointed to say I can’t participate in the 3-point contest or the All-Star game. I have to rest my body.” The Indiana Fever have been navigating a challenging stretch of the 2025 regular season without Caitlin Clark. The guard’s sophomore run was gaining momentum before a late-game groin injury against the Connecticut Sun sidelined her indefinitely. For the third time in a row. While the setback came as a hard-hitting blow to the roster, the poor timing ruled Clark out of the much-anticipated 2025 WNBA All-Star Weekend.

While head coach Stephanie White promised to “gradually integrate the athlete back,” she had no clear message surrounding the star’s update. Recently IndyStar sports reporter Chloe Peterson confirmed that Clark was diagnosed by doctors and underwent a series of tests. “Stephanie White says there’s no update on Caitlin Clark or a potential timeline,” Peterson reported on X. “Clark met with another doctor this morning, but White says she hasn’t spoken with trainers about that yet.

But a day after Peterson confirmed HC White’s stance on Clark’s injury, the Indiana Fever provided a fresh update. The official account shared Clark’s injury status in a press release on X (former Twitter). “Caitlin Clark underwent further medical evaluations earlier this week, which confirmed that no additional injuries or damage were discovered,” the account posted. “Clark will continue working with the medical team on her recovery and rehabilitation, with the priority on her long-term health and well-being. There is no timetable available for her return.

The 2024 No. 1 pick underwent medical evaluations and continues to work with the medical team. With her health a central point of concern, the franchise is ensuring Clark receives ample attention and care. The athlete was last seen on July 15 against the Connecticut Sun. Despite averaging 16.5 points, 5 rebounds, and 8.8 assists in 13 appearances this season, the Fever guard earlier missed the 2025 Commissioner’s Cup owing to a left groin injury.

While the recent update brought relief to fans and analysts, uncertainty still lingers around Clark’s return timeline. Known for her disdain of minutes restrictions, Clark has always preferred full recovery over a limited comeback. Unlike a previous stint when Coach Stephanie White reintegrated her just shy of the two-week mark, this time both player and team appear committed to maximizing the recovery window. After all, the franchise cannot afford to lose their star athlete for the majority of the season.

Caitlin Clark turned heads from the sidelines

Despite being sidelined owing to her ongoing right groin injury, Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark is leaving no stone unturned in catching media and fan attention. While her dominant stance has garnered widespread appreciation from audiences, Clark turned heads during her recent appearance in Brooklyn, NYC.

Can Indiana Fever bounce back without Caitlin Clark, or is her absence too big a blow?

Have an interesting take?

While the Indiana Fever snubbed down with a staggering 98-84 loss to the New York Liberty, Clark managed to bask in the headlines. Well, after a Prada stint on the 2025 WNBA All-Star orange carpet, this time Clark turned to Gucci for inspiration. She donned a niche Gucci jacket over a plain white blouse. But if that was not enough, the athlete completed the look with white-washed denims. While these wide-legged denim pants added a comfortable look to the outfit, they were priced at a whopping $ 1,500 and belonged to the brand’s 2025 Pre-Fall Collection.

The stonewashed denims, tan shoes, and a Gucci bag added allure to the otherwise dull look. Moreover, Clark further added a dash of glam to the outfit with a light yet glossy pink lip colour. But with Clark’s hardwood return dipped in ambiguity and Fever’s roster juggling with a two-game losing streak, can HC White lead the team back on course? Or will the Indiana Fever keep hanging on to the center of the league’s regular standings at rank seven? With an aspiration to win the title this season, the Indiana Fever can no longer afford to bag losses.
