After losing a recent matchup against the Dallas Wings 107-92, the Phoenix Mercury weren’t really upset. Thanks to Sophie Cunningham, who, as usual, tried to lighten the mood with her social media tricks. She recorded a behind-the-scenes video for her team, but with a little twist that involved her teammate Brittney Griner.

After making a hilarious video, the 27-year-old’s video was posted on the official X account. The caption on the video read, “We gave Sophie a camera, and she took it to every station with her on media day. Now it’s time to go behind the scenes!

Panning the camera in different directions, Cunningham started off with “Wow, this is actually a great camera to check my hair.” Then, with a playful grin, she called Brittney Griner over to share the screen with her. Brittney glanced up, rolling her eyes, she replied, “Don’t make me late,” Her tone more teasing than annoyed.

No, you are always late anyways,” Cunningham corrected her. But the conversation did not end here! Griner added, “That’s not true… I am always pretty much ahead of time.” “That’s a lie,” whispered Sophie.

After having quite some fun with the team, Griner came up again at Cunningham. She said, “If I’m late, it’s because someone is doing hair and makeup, all of these other things,” making it crystal clear that Sophie Cunningham wasn’t really joking! Intriguing, right? To the spectators’ surprise, Cunningham donned an alluring outfit while walking at the entrance of the Footprints Centre.

What else would you expect? Some fans were speechless, while others penned heartfelt messages comparing her to models and actresses. Not only this, but the fans went on to congratulate the guard for the team’s victory by 83-80 in a matchup against the Mystics. Undoubtedly, Sophie is a star both on and off the court.
