Nothing seems to be going well for Coach Becky Hammon and her Las Vegas Aces. Since trading away superstar Kelsey Plum to bring in Jewell Loyd, the Aces just haven’t looked the same. A .500 start to the season at 8-8 is far from what you’d expect from a championship contender. Well, to add salt to the wound, Hammon’s side is currently losing to a Caitlin Clark-less Indiana Fever side.

Remember when Hammon issued that stern warning after their 94-83 loss to the Mystics? “I’m talking about basic stuff. Number one: compete. Compete hard. Do your job. Know your job. Do your job. Then I’m talking about screening people. Screen. When you’re on offense, go hit somebody. When you’re on defense, go hit somebody. Go block out. And pick and roll. Somebody goes under? Re-screen them. I mean, seems very elementary. And like I said, that’s why we’ll continue to drown here in two feet of water.”

Well, it seems like the Aces still haven’t taken that message to heart. As half time approaches, the Fever currently leads Becky Hammon’s side by 22 points. The Aces have shot just 8-31 from the field. To make matters worse, 6 of those were hit by A’ja Wilson herself. Things are going from bad to worse in Sin City.

To add to the misery, videos of Hammon looking visibly frustrated have started making the rounds online. One video in particular shared by @nosyone4 has gone viral, accumulating over 20k views. The video shows Hammon sitting in her chair and making a stern face as she watches the Indiana team decimate her Aces.

Fans were quick to address the video, with one fan saying,“😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 Why she gat those black eyes?” And just like that, the thread turned into a full-blown roast session. Fans react to Becky Hammon’s viral video

It was a night to forget for Coach Becky Hammon. Not only did her Aces suffer a brutal 27-point loss to the Fever, but she also became the target of relentless trolling online. “She look piss lol,” one fan commented while another joined in to say, “Love seeing her a– miserable 😂.” The trolling just didn’t seem to stop!

Heading into the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, everyone knew this was going to be tough for the Aces. They were about to face the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup winners at home in front of 17,000+ fans. The atmosphere was bound to be electric, and all the momentum was clearly in Fever’s favor. Naturally, they made the Aces pay!

Becky Hammon’s side, who has the 9th-best offensive rating and the 9th-best defensive rating in the league, allowed the Fever to shoot 49.2% from the field. But that’s not all! They were outrebounded by 11 and conceded 38 points in the paint. A performance to forget for the Aces. They have now dropped to an 8-9 record. You normally don’t associate a losing record with Hammon. And this fan rightly put it by saying, “She can’t believe this is her life rn.”

Some fans even took it a step too far. They wanted her gone. “She gotta go,” read one of the comments. Well, trolling her is understandable given the quality the Aces have on their side. But wanting her gone? That’s a stretch. We are talking about a coach who brought back-to-back championships to Vegas. If anything, she’s earned a bit of grace. The least fans can do is show her some loyalty. A coach of her calibre is bound to improve things going forward.
