The Chicago Sky has lost its blueprint to win games this season. Tyler Marsh’s team has now conceded 11 defeats this season, with their latest one coming in a tough contest against the Dallas Wings. Yet despite this defeat, the headlines were nowhere related to what happened on the hardwood. Instead, it was a Natasha Cloud moment after the game that caught the spotlight.

As the Chicago Sky team ran towards the locker room after the defeat, Cloud was seething with frustration. In her way, Cloud kicked one of the stands near the exit, leaving it heavily damaged on the ground.
X account @zavanchy even shared a glimpse of this entire moment, leaving a shocking impression of the Chicago Sky guard.
A 14-point fourth-quarter collapse and a crucial late foul gave Natasha Cloud and the Sky every reason to be furious. Persistent missed chances from the line throughout the game plagued the team’s offense.
For context, the Sky just scored 19 of 29 from the free-throw line, for 66%, leaving 10 points unscored. These points eventually mattered the most, especially in a tightrope game where every point mattered.
On top of that, officiating was a part of concern as well. A total of 24 fouls were called on the Chicago Sky in the entire game. Notably, two players, Kamilla Cardoso and Sydney Taylor, were even fouled out of the game. Head coach Marsh was quick to highlight his dissatisfaction with the officiating in the game.
“We send all of them in every game, we send all of them in,” Marsh had said in the post-game presser. “We get left on read, we send text messages directly, we don’t get responses.”
Despite these situations going against the Chicago Sky, fans feel that Natasha Cloud’s actions were a bit exaggerated. Subsequently, the netizens didn’t mince their words in lashing out at the Sky guard on social media.
Fans pinpoint Natasha Cloud’s ‘immature’ behavior after the College Park Center incident
“I hope she mad at herself. The missed layups, the turnovers, the unnecessary fouls smh. I see why nobody wanted her in free agency. She’s a low-IQ player,” a fan wrote.
“She didn’t help the situation by giving up a 4-point play,” stated another.
Many fans, including these ones, pinpointed Cloud’s performance in the game to criticize her. Indeed, she didn’t have the most impressive game of the season against the Dallas Wings. She scored 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists, while also missing 7 shots from the field.

While this can be considered decent all-around performance, the crucial foul she committed in the dying seconds changed the game’s dynamics. With just 30 seconds remaining in the game, Cloud committed a shooting foul on Bueckers as she attempted a 25-foot three-pointer.
It eventually led to a four-point play, with Bueckers converting from the line as well, bridging the gap to just a single point between the two teams. While this wasn’t the sole reason for the Chicago Sky’s defeat, it definitely gave the Wings an upper hand late in the fourth quarter.
“Send her a** back out there to clean the mess up. Enough of these grown-ass adults acting like children throwing temper tantrums,” remarked a netizen.
“I understand she upset, but this was immature for her to do,” added another.
The above explanation makes it clear that Natasha Cloud also had personal frustration with the game. But dismantling the arena property is nowhere near the solution for the errors she made on the court.
Furthermore, damaging arena property can also result in a fine, as in the NBA. Although the WNBA hasn’t issued Cloud any fines, the X video clearly shows a stand near the exit being dismantled after she kicked it in frustration. Thus, it makes a clear case for Cloud’s violation of the code of conduct policy.
“Imagine barely making the league and then acting like this,” chimed in another.
Natasha Cloud was one of the hottest topics in the hoops world in the offseason. The only question the analysts had at the time was why no WNBA team was signing Natasha Cloud. Being a veteran and seasoned campaigner for teams like the Washington Mystics and the New York Liberty, Cloud should have been a go-to player in free agency.
But that wasn’t the case. She was picked by the Chicago Sky well after the season had started, allowing Cloud to play in this WNBA season. But with this off-court behavioral spotlight, Cloud is just diminishing that opportunity.
From a basketball perspective as well, Cloud isn’t starting every game for the Chicago Sky this season. Thus, it would be genuine from Cloud’s perspective to focus solely on basketball rather than showcase her aggression off-court.
