Challenging Angel Reese has never been a good idea for anyone. Mock her game, and she will come back strong. Call her names, and she will use them to her benefit, just like she did with the ‘Mebounds’ tag. The ‘Mebounds’ tag was expertly trademarked by Reese while releasing a merchandise line on it that fetched her “six figures.” After that success, Reese named one of the colorways of the Angel Reese 1s as Mebounds. Now the neon pink Mebounds colorway has made its way to the NBA, and Reese isn’t holding back. 

Houston Rockets star Tari Eason rocked the Mebounds against the Brooklyn Nets. Angel Reese immediately noticed as she reposted the Houston Rockets post dedicated to Eason. “It’s the shoessssss, Meboundsssss,” Reese excitedly wrote. Along with three pink heart emojis. The shoes flipped the script for Eason, as after scoring 7 points on 3-of-11 shooting in 50 minutes over Houston’s first two games, Eason bounced back strongly against Brooklyn while wearing pink. 

The 24-year-old forward led the Rockets in scoring while knocking down a game-high five three-pointers. Eason amassed 22 points (3 points more than Rockets’ star Kevin Durant) (8-12 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 1-3 FT), 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and one block over 26 minutes during their 137-109 win over the Nets. This was also the Rockets’ first win of the season! Eason’s mom immediately noticed the effect the Angel Reese1s had on her son. 

Reese acknowledged Eason’s support on Twitter too, writing, “MEBOUNDS LOOK FIREEEE 🔥💕💖💓💞 @TAR13ASON @teroyaeason.” Eason’s mother, Teroya, quoted Reese with a pop culture reference of Marvel’s Black Panther GIF while writing, “More like Lucky charms! Them two pink mfs brought him back to life, young Queen!” Reese also reposted Eason’s highlights on her story, further appreciating his performance. But it wasn’t limited to the stakeholders.

On Houston’s IG page, most of the comments spoke more about the shoes than the stat line, which silently reflects Reese’s impact in a Caitlin Clark-dominated media.

Interestingly enough, while many reports claim Eason is a Reebok athlete, Eason has primarily worn Nike throughout his career. Before Angel Reese1s Eason rocked the Nike Sabrina 2 in earlier games, according to Kixstats. It seems Eason will be wearing the Angel Reese 1s here on, considering how his performance turned out. Meanwhile, Angel Reese herself is on a major offseason spree. After walking on Victoria’s Secret runway, Reese is not resting. 

Reese featured on the cover of NBA 2K26’s special SLAM Edition and has also teased a special collaboration with fellow Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers. “Me and Paige actually have something really big coming up together. Stay tuned.” Reese said in the viral clip. Most recently, Paige Bueckers was seen in the UK at a soccer game supporting EPL’s Arsenal, but she and Reese are pretty good friends. Meanwhile, Reese’s shoes continue to be represented in the basketball world, but this time via her brother Julian Reese.

Angel Reese hypes up brother after he dons Angel Reese 1s

Angel Reese is not the only pro basketball player in her family, as her brother Julian Reese had a pretty successful career in Maryland. In his 4 years, Julian averaged 11.1 points and 7.6 rebounds. The 22-year-old spent this offseason with the Los Angeles Lakers after signing a Summer League contract as an undrafted free agent.

He posted 8 total points in two summer appearances. Reese was eventually signed by the Raptors on an Exhibit 10 contract, who waived him after the training camp as he joined their G-League team, Raptors 905. And of course, Julian is making sure Angel Reese is represented as he was seen wearing the Angel Reese 1s.“baby brother 🥹 ugh I’m so proud! & GREAT FEETS! 😍💜,” Reese wrote in the caption while drawing a heart over her brother. 

It seems her brother prefers the ‘Charm City’ color way, which was recently dropped. The Reebok Angel Reese 1 ‘Charm City’ colorway was released at 10:00 a.m. EST on Friday, October 24. The demand was not as heavy as their earlier launch a few months ago. However, the shoes were sold out on the company’s website by Saturday afternoon. 

There’s no doubt that Reese’s popularity is only rising across the basketball and fashion worlds, and she is still not done. Her collaboration with Paige Bueckers can send the internet crazy, depending on what it is. Bueckers could appear on Reese’s Unapologetically Angel Podcast for an interview.
