Aliyah Boston and Lexie Hull have added a new title to their resumes this season, serving as the Indiana Fever’s official liaisons to the WNBPA. Boston will serve as the primary representative for the franchise, while Hull steps in as her alternate, as per the leadership page of the official WNBPA website.

This update follows no change in the franchise’s representatives. Boston reportedly held the same role last season, with Hull again serving as her alternate. After a CBA that delivered the players a significant share of the league revenue for the first time, the Fever have once again turned to Boston and Hull to protect the locker room’s interests in the reunion.
As representatives, it now falls largely on Boston and Hull to attend the players’ union meetings. They serve as the connective thread between the players’ union executive leadership, which includes players like Nneka Ogwumike and Napheesa Collier, and their teammates, tasked with safeguarding the team’s interests at the table.
Boston and Hull will also need to raise any concerns from their teammates directly with the league. Both players carry composed personalities and are natural leaders, making them an easy choice for the Fever’s front office when it comes to selecting representatives for these roles.
As two of the team’s more experienced pros, Boston and Hull have already carried this kind of responsibility once, using their voices during the CBA negotiations. That experience puts them in a strong position to represent the team’s interests as the union’s work continues into the new season.

Notably, the WNBPA, led by Ogwumike in her fourth consecutive term, also recently made the CBA’s official documents public. It comes nearly three months after the league and the union reached a unanimous decision on the agreement.
Summaries of this historic CBA are available on the WNBPA’s official website. It has separate provisions for merit bonuses, player-related benefits, a code of conduct, and even training camp details.
From procedures regarding suspensions and fines to the winning amounts for MVP winners to the players’ dress code, it is all enshrined in the documents. The CBA also clearly states three major ethos that players must adhere to: good citizenship, good moral character, and good sportsmanship.
In a nutshell, it is the constitution that every player in the league must follow, as well as the league’s front office. For Fever, Boston and Hull will form the pipeline between the franchise and the union if any caveat arises in that regard.
Former Fever Player Is Also Part of the WNBPA Alongside Aliyah Boston and Lexie Hull
While Aliyah Boston and Lexie Hull are Indiana Fever’s franchise representatives, a third player with Fever background is also part of the WNBPA table. Brianna Turner, who played for the Fever last season, is the treasurer of the players’ union.
Turner, who is playing for the Las Vegas Aces this season, is part of the union’s executive hierarchy. It means that she is concerned with the interests of the entire union and the league, and is not representative of a single franchise.
As the WNBPA treasurer, Turner oversees the league’s vital operations alongside the President and Vice Presidents. Turner has been a vital part of the players’ union and has proved her leadership during the CBA negotiations as well.
Thus, with leaders like Turner, Nneka Ogwumike, and Napheesa Collier, the union’s leadership is in safe hands. Meanwhile, with Boston and Hull, the Indiana Fever also has a strong, sound voice at that decision-making table.
The Fever now have representation at nearly every level of the union’s structure. This gives the organization a direct hand in how the league’s business gets shaped going forward.
