Many people consider skateboarding a fashionable and trendy sport. The phenomenon of snowboarding is one propagated by one such phenom of the sport itself. Three-time Olympic gold medalist in snowboarding, Shaun White has chartered frontiers on the digital space as well, amassing great viewership. The man has dabbled in arenas outside of snowboarding as well, trying his hand at tech gizmos of late.

He was recently caught in an IG partnership video displaying his skating prowess along with a much needed product plug. He has his skateboard and his latest gadget, the Insta 360. Like the ubiquitous GoPro, the Insta360 is an action camera. Shaun White was spotted at the park with this new gadget, signifying a wonderful affiliation of sorts with a big gun in the tech realm.

Shaun White’s IG unfurled – Insta360 Ace Pro and beyond

Shaun uploaded a video on Instagram today showing him using the latest Insta 360 Ace Pro model. An action camera is like a go-pro. It’s great for recording on the move, portability being its USP. This Instagram 360 business collaboration began with Shaun uttering, “What’s up everybody? We’re here at the Chelsea Skate Park and i just got the new Insta 360 Ace Pro.”

He was seen swiftly swerving on his skateboard, wherein he dabbles with the gesture control option. He cheekily snaps a few wonderful selfies with its high end built in and fully optimized Leica lens. He says –“Man, im hyped to try this out. The new camera’s got this Leica lens, which is just insane.” 

Shaun then demonstrates the camera’s rear display which unveils a state-of-the-art flip screen. He utilized this mode for ease of usage as he attempts to record some follow-up cams at the park, with effortless sinews made throughout the park’s skating laps. The results were astonishing, to say the least. He’s frequently made headlines post retirement hinting at extraneous development.

Shaun White’s post-retirement versatility

The snowboarding legend launched a documentary series in July titled “Shaun White: The Last Run.” Shaun’s highs and lows in both his sporting trajectories were the subject of the series. It is a journey and a sojourn worth encapsulating to its viewers.

Last year, Shaun announced his retirement after the Winter Olympics. One reason is that he is withdrawing from the snowboarding community completely. Fortunately, that wasn’t the case. His remarkable sportsmanship and dedication to the continued development of both the snowboarding and skateboarding communities post his retirement displays his sporting sheen and prowess.
