When Brad Marchand was traded away many thought that was it for their captain. And why not? The Boston Bruins GM Don Sweeney made his move at the dying hours of the Trade Deadline on March 7th and failed to retain the Little Ball of Hate the Bruins loved, all over a “gap” in the AAV which Brad was even ready to “compromise” in. And even though he assured in his Boston Globe’s full-page note, “We are Bostonians now and forever,” his response to potentially returning in Summer did not exactly suffice. On March 11, he told Nick Goss of CBS Sports Boston,I know it didn’t come together now. Can things change down the road? Potentially, but that’s to be seen.”

On Saturday, Locked on Bruins shared a tweet with fellow Bostonians suggesting, “Brad Marchand’s wife shared a South Boston real estate listing on Instagram. If it’s their place, it doesn’t bode well for a return in free agency.” Now imagine the emotions stirring in Bean Town! Amongst the playoffs fever and trade winds, hearing that Boston’s captain would only ever step on the ice in TD Garden if he were playing against them was already a lot. And then his wife potentially listing their $3.5 million estate?! However, it seems like it was all a huge confusion. Can you guess who got the fire out?

First, it was Marchand who posted an Instagram story, appreciating his wife Katrina Marchand’s hard work in listing out a $1.79M real estate property. He wrote along with images of a South Boston home, “Huge congrats to @kasloane @kbmliving for completing her first renovation project! So proud of you !!!” But it raised more questions than answered, right? Fortunately, Katrina herself broke the suspense. In her Instagram stories, Marchand’s wife revealed “For everyone asking… This is a renovation project of ours not our personal home ❤️ Fun before & afters coming soon 🏡.”

So is Marchand leaving Boston for good? Not this soon, at least. Talking to Goss, he also mentioned, “I’m sure we’ll have a conversation down the road, but I don’t know where that goes. I’ll say I would still love … like, it doesn’t change my love for the city, and the will to want to be here has never changed. I don’t think it will ever change.” With this news, can we say that the Summertime option is still open for Brad and the Bruins? Seemingly so.

But hey, it isn’t the only heart of the city that catches the eye of the Panthers forward; his luxurious abode, too, is a comfort space that’s worth every dollar he might have invested into building it. Well, let’s say creating it!

What is inside Brad Marchand’s house that makes it so special?

Call it a living, breathing storybook of heritage, Marchand’s $3.5 million brownstone house is tucked into the heart of Boston’s Charlestown neighborhood. A perfect 1880 classic-style build, the three-story residence perfectly blends the historic character with elite and modern-day upgrades! Every inch of this property whispers legacy and understated elegance with its spacious living spaces that contain four bedrooms and five bathrooms. Moreover, the golden hour just creates a perfect setting with wide windows allowing sunlight to beam in.

And for all those fine dining experiences, the house has a gourmet kitchen with its sun-drenched roof dining area! And in case you wonder if that’s a lot, well, walk forward and you will find the private owner’s suite that feels like a quiet retreat in the middle of the city. The house has everything for recreational activities as well. Indeed, Marchand’s $3.5 million home is a sanctuary.

To walk away from a home like this isn’t just leaving a property but leaving a piece of yourself, right? No doubt, the star is in Florida, perhaps chilling with his time and rocking with the new shift in his NHL career; the Boston home has a lot more to offer. Hence, when Brad Marchand calls the city a part of his heart, this home might be the reflection of that bond. Making it clear so far that he’s not going anywhere, at least not completely!
