Olympian Michael Phelps was recently spotted dancing with his wife Nicole Phelps in a story she posted on Instagram. The decorated swimmer could be seen by his partner’s side at a friend’s wedding, trending as #TheRoyWedding, as she jovially calls her husband a ‘Backup Dancer.’

The pair dated for over eight years before Phelps married 2010 Miss California winner Nicole Johnson in 2016. Together, they have three young boys.

The couple was recently spotted spreading festive cheer at a friend’s wedding party. Dressed in casuals, the talented pair were pictured breaking a leg with other friends.

Michael Phelps got engaged to Nicole Johnson in February 2015. The pair tied the knot secretly in their backyard in Arizona in June 2016. However, four months later the couple got married again in an intimate ceremony in Mexico. Needless to say, it broke the internet.
Phelps got married twice himself
During the Rio Olympics, the swimmer declared his plans for getting married to People Magazine, although he was already married to Johnson by then. In his fifth and final Olympics, Phelps won his 23rd gold medal catapulting him to the status of the most decorated Olympian of all time. After their second wedding on a beachside in Mexico the couple shared stunning photos on their social media.
The pair dated on and off for eight years before they tied the knot. However, according to Nicole Phelps, “I could never see myself with anyone else. There’s nobody else that gets me the way that Michael does”. She continues, “We live a healthy, competitive life daily. Every morning when we wake up, whoever says “I love you more” first wins for the day — and we’ve been doing this for a couple of years now.”
