The American wrestling scene is welcoming a new and fresh season for all its wrestlers. As the new season has arrived, the date of arrival for the 2024 Olympics is also drawing to a close. While every wrestler is busy training and focusing on themselves, David Taylor is multitasking and training his students as well, which is a sign of a de facto professional worth his salt.

David Taylor is the reigning Olympic Champion in the 86kg weight class and is one of the world’s most consistent wrestlers. Taylor recently took to social media and uploaded a post showcasing him with his students. The Magic Man of PSU could be seen guiding young wrestlers and training them. In fact, he still has his coach’s hat on at all times, despite the Olympics being just 255 days away.

David Taylor shares his magic with M2 students

The 32-year-old David Taylor is a three-time world wrestling champion who recently defended his 2022 world title in Belgrade. He runs/ spearheads a coaching academy for young and aspiring wrestling talent named the ‘M2 Training Center.’ David Taylor recently took to Instagram and shared some pictures of himself while coaching his students.

The post carried the caption, “Wrestling season has begun and we’re dialing everything in here @m2trainingcenter. I’m looking forward to another year of coaching these studs.” Taylor, who recently also ramped up his presence on YouTube, also added, “Be on the lookout for an M2 practice on YouTube to get a little insight into a workout.”

David Taylor takes coaching his students very seriously and regularly supports and promotes them as well. One may think that the reigning Olympic champ should be paying more attention to himself given the Olympics are very close. However, Taylor is already working vigorously towards his road to Paris. In fact, engaging with his students is one of his ways to unwind and avoid burnout.

Unwinding and recharging in between intense bouts of training

David Taylor recently uploaded a video where he gave a quick overview of his days as he trains for the Olympics. The Magic Man of PSU showcased an intense routine where Taylor just zeroes out on everything else while in the gym. With such an intense regime, David Taylor regularly attends to his students in order to unwind.

Moreover, teaching youngsters of all experience levels constantly refurbishes his own awareness of both the basics and the advanced techniques. In the same video, Taylor also mentioned that his objective isn’t the Olympics, which are nine months away, but the Olympic trials that are way sooner in April. Thus, while he is teaching his students, he isn’t slacking on his training either. Will Taylor be able to defend his Olympic title just like his world title in 2023?
