In a tweet on X by Chris Chavez (@ChrisChavez), the founder of Citius Mag, details of the  2024 United Airlines NYC Half were revealed. The post read, “JUST ANNOUNCED: @NYRR has unveiled its fields for the 2024 United NYC Half on March 17.” The released list highlights several notable runners, including Gladys Chepkurui from Kenya, who boasted an impressive personal best time of 1:05:46. and led the list. It also mentioned Karoline Bjerkeli Grøvdal from Norway, a three-time European cross-country champion, and a lineup of American runners, including Lindsay Flanagan, Desiree Linden, Jenny Simpson, and others.

With the competition drawing near, American runners may face formidable opposition from Gladys Chepkurui, who showcased dominance at the Bangsaen21 Half Marathon in December 2023 and tops the field list. All eyes turn towards NYC

The 2024 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon is set to unfold in New York City on March 17, 2024, commencing at 7:00 a.m. The race starts in Brooklyn, crosses the Manhattan Bridge and FDR Drive, passes through Times Square (which is closed only twice a year), and finishes in Central Park. This prestigious event will feature 11 Olympians and seven Paralympians, along with numerous athletes eyeing participation in the Paris 2024 Games. In the men’s field, Conner Mantz and Clayton Young, fresh from their performances at the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials, will headline the men’s race.
