Lindsey Vonn picks her ‘Big 3’ of tennis

Recently, Vonn took to her X and posted a clip of Nadal’s recent match. Referring to Nadal as a GOAT, Vonn wrote, “Yup, he is! Hahaha…I think the big 3 are goats. Their impact in the sport can’t be denied. And also, it’s just my opinion so… “ and she tagged Rafael Nadal in that post. Understandably, she referred to Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal. Interestingly, Vonn’s post came in response to a comment to one of her X posts, where a user wrote, “Okay first was Roger, now Nole, when you will tell us the goat is Rafa for you?” But what the post was all about?

The post that attracted the comment was a recent one, where Vonn added a couple of pictures with Djokovic. Captioning her post, Vonn wrote, “Hanging with the 🐐 , and yes, I do believe he is the goat. Contrary to Twitter beliefs, I think there can be more than one. But @DjokerNole holds the records and I have nothing but respect for what he’s achieved… and he skis!” This comes as a reminder that Vonn has not forgotten the controversy she got embroiled in a few days back and that she still stands her ground firmly.

Vonn’s firm message for the haters

Lindsey Vonn and Roger Federer’s friendship has been on show on multiple occasions. Whether it was when they reunited during Wimbledon or when they appeared in a chocolate ad alongside the Swiss maestro. Recently, that was rekindled again when Vonn took to her social media handle and disclosed that they had only recently gone skiing together. “I finally got to go skiing with my friend Roger!” stated Vonn in an Instagram post. That same post had one more sentence that started an unfortunate controversy.

“no matter what the statistics say (or Leo lol) you’re my forever 🐐, because it’s not about the stats but the impact you have made on me,” Vonn had stated. This didn’t go well with the tennis fans when they started trolling her for being biased towards her Swiss friend. An undeterred Vonn made her ‘opinion’ clear on that occasion as well.

She wrote in an X post, “People have differences of opinion and that’s OK…My goat might not be your goat and there will always be a debate but opinions are just that, opinions, and everyone is entitled to them.” Lindsey Vonn’s fresh post once again reiterates the stand she took amid the debate.
