With the lockout still going on in Major League Baseball, players are definitely not glad about the delay of the regular season. But apart from players and owners, baseball fans are also fed up with the work stoppage. And recently, a number of baseball fans gathered outside the MLB headquarter and showed their anger towards the league commissioner Rob Manfred.

Notably, the lockout is now over three months old in Major League Baseball. And even now, the owners and the players’ union have not found any solution for the new CBA deal.

Earlier on Tuesday, when the players’ union failed to make the new CBA deal with the owners. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred canceled a few league games of the next season.

Baseball Fans Protest Outside MLB Headquarter against Rob Manfred amidst the Lockout

Earlier this week, MLB owners had given a deadline of Feb 28 to the players’ union for the new CBA deal. But, since the players’ demands didn’t meet with the owners’ last and final proposal. Manfred and the owners decided to cancel two series games for each team.

Baseball fans, who are waiting for three-four months to watch the games in ballparks, were definitely not happy with the league’s decision to delay the regular season.

Fans started a chant against Rob Manfred and referred to him as “Man-Fraud”. Now, since MLB has canceled at least 91 games, 6 games for each team, fans might not get to attend the games until April.

Now that the regular season has been delayed, players will also lose an insane amount of salaries from their purse. According to MLB journalist Bob Nightengale, MLB players will lose around $20.5 million per day from their purses. While the amount of money that the owners would lose in this scenario is still unknown.
