Laurie Hernandez, 23, has had notable feathers in her cap throughout her journey as a gymnast. The youngster arrived at her pinnacle as she formed the 2016 US women’s gymnastics roster dubbed as ‘Final Five.’ Laurie excellently presented herself on the coveted stage, adding not one but two medals to her name – a team gold and an individual silver on Balance Beam.

Her success at the Olympics brought Laurie a media presence and a stand in the gymnastics field. Interestingly, despite all, Laurie had her mind diverted to a varying path as she returned. Over the next 4 years, the gymnast trod a new path on her journey in the television industry. Her demeanor both on and off the field had the youngster topping the pedestal with influence and brand partnerships. The gymnastics icon drops an exciting announcement

On the 1st of November, Laurie Hernandez took to her Instagram stories to share news on an upcoming book tour. The story featured Laurie on a poster for the ‘Iron Flame Book Tour’ and introduced the gymnast as a special guest. Joining her on the list was Chloe Lukasiak. According to the poster, Laurie will be joining author, Rebecca Yarros at Barnes & Noble Union Square on Monday, November 6th.

Rebecca also took a moment to share the news on her page captioning, “I?m so thrilled to be joined by these two! What an honor! Can?t wait to see you all on the Iron Flame tour!”?The internet claims that Laurie has been a huge fan of the prequel to the book, Fourth Wing. Thus the excitement of the new partnership not only adds a fan moment for the gymnast but also quenches her growing interest in the field of literature.

Laurie’s impressive venture

Laurie Hernandez, besides being an Olympic gymnast and a known television personality, she also has authored two books. Back in 2017 and 2018, the gymnast put out her works named I Got This: To Go Bold and Beyond, and She’s Got This. The books discuss Laurie’s journey growing up and ultimately making it to the Olympics. ?I have two books out and that was such an exciting thing to be able to release,? Hernandez expressed according to Vidette Online.

Adding on, Laurie has also enrolled at New York University?s Tisch School of the Arts. The gymnast is currently studying drama and is considering minoring in creative writing. Laurie revealed to Olympics.com: ?I could act my little heart away, write as many books as I want, and I don?t think anything will kind of compare to this aspect of performance while also doing something incredible and scary and quite dangerous.” However, though she continues with her budding interests,? Laurie believes that there is always a part of her that will wish for a comeback.
