Sage Kimzey has an enviable record in the sport of bull riding. His successes are not limited to what he pulls off from his perch atop many a bull. Kimzey had a great season in 2023, winning the San Angelo Xtreme Bulls, the 45th George Paul Memorial Xtreme Bull Riding, and the Rodeo of the Ozarks.

Sage Kimzey and his wife Alexis welcomed their firstborn, son Steele, in January of 2022. Steele Kimzey entered the world at four pounds and 11 ounces via a C-section, according to Cowgirl Magazine. The couple admitted, in an interview with Teton Ridge, that there will be further additions to their family soon enough.

Sage Kimzey reveals the secret to no blowouts

Teton Ridge and Sage Kimzey both shared the same reel showcasing part of that interview. The captioning adjoining the reel went thus, “Forget the bulls**t. We’re talking babies & s**t.” In that reel, Alexis Kimzey confirmed the pair did not have any blowouts but added things could well be different with the arrival of their next child. Her husband concurred, saying, “Knock on wood, right now, ’cause you know it’s coming.”

Sage Kimzey had more to add. He divulged the house rules that ensured there were no blowouts, citing his wife’s stance that he change at least one diaper a day. Kimzey said, “She’s like, well, you have to change at least one diaper a day. That’s the rule. And she always gives me the worst one. Every time. Every time.“ Alexis Kimzey is uncompromising on that front, as she admitted in that reel.

Debut in Unleash the Beast earning a special shout-out

It is safe to say that Sage Kimzey has had an eventful year. He made his debut in the Unleash the Beast series and though he did not win, he was accorded a special mention for his performance. Kimzey cannot, however, catch a break from his diaper duties. Alexis Kimzey makes certain of that. She said, “My thing is like, hey, babe, you’ve been working all day. So, you just got off a bull? Before you shower, just clean this diaper.“

It remains to be seen what is next for the seven-time World Champion. Sage Kimzey wants to be the best person as well as the best bull rider in the circuit. He is committed to excelling in and out of the arena.
