In January, NFL safety, Damar Hamlin dropped unconscious on the field during a match against the Cincinnati Bengals, as a result of cardiac arrest. The sports community watched in shock as the officials tried their best to resuscitate him with CPR. He was rushed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Fortunately, his condition stabilized over time and now, the athlete is all set to make a comeback after a break of 4 months.

The news spread like wildfire as notable personalities extended their support for the Buffalo Bills’ icon. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ex-wife, Maria Shriver took to her Twitter to express her relief upon his recovery. She reshared a post by ESPN announcing Hamlin’s comeback to the game and also prayed for his well-being and good health with a brief note on her post.

It was a tragedy for the world to witness a young talent fall victim to such a grave consequence. The community almost lost him, however, the 25-year-old star athlete bounced back with an impressive recovery and now his comeback to the football sphere is confirmed. Shriver wrote in her caption, “God bless Be safe #DamarHamlin” expressing her concern for the player. 

The primary post by the popular sports network featured a captivating picture of Hamlin in addition to a crucial statement made by him at a recent conference. This was his first public address since the incident. Reflecting on his traumatic experience, he said, “This event was life-changing, but it’s not the end of my story. I’m here to announce that I plan on making a comeback to the NFL”

The football pro underwent all the necessary medical checks by a chain of specialists to ensure that he is fit to resume playing. All the checks were cleared and the experts waved off a green signal for Hamlin. As per reports, the cardiac arrest occurred due to a direct blow at a particular point of his heartbeat, called Commotio Cordis. Undoubtedly, he is out of danger and fans will soon spectate his on-field finesse. Likewise, UFC President, Dana White also joined in to laud Hamlin with a brief message.

Despite his lack of interest in certain games, White holds great respect for all the athletes. Therefore, after Hamlin’s tragic news surfaced, the 53-year-old businessman hailed the Bills’ safety with a four-worded message. He wrote, “This kid is amazing.” 

The acclaim came soon after Hamlin took to his Twitter to share an update on his recovery. “Headed home to Buffalo today with a lot of love on my heart…The same love you all have shown me is the same love that I plan to put back into the world n more,” the American athlete admitted.
