Back in the 2019 season, Carlos was facing lower back issues; however, since then, there were no new updates about the injury. Notably, ESPN’s MLB insider, Buster Olney, revealed some shocking information about Carlos Correa’s lower back injury now.

According to Buster, the reason for the delay in Carlos signing any deals is because of his persisting injury. Olney said, “there are questions about [Correa’s] lower back.” 

He further said that in the past Carlos had treatment for his injury and the teams can access his records only if they make him a significant offer. Courtesy of his ‘condition’, the teams have been skeptical about giving him any offer as they aren’t aware of what he might be dealing with.

An injury that took place in 2019 has come back to haunt Carlos in 2021. However, given this could be a rumor, it’s too soon to reach any conclusion. If Carlos secures a whopping million-dollar deal after the lockout, it will discard his lower back injury rumors.
