“Angels Leadership Does Not Want Me to Be Involved”- MLB Legend Rod Carew Makes a Shocking Revelation on Former Team

Major League baseball is currently going through the owners’ lockout since last year’s December. And both the club owners and players are yet to reach a new agreement, after it expired in December 2021. This is the first major lockout in the last 28 years. The last time an agreement expired without reaching on a new one, was in the 1994 season.

Meanwhile, former baseball player and Los Angeles Angels legend, Rod Carew is not happy with the treatment from his former club towards him. The 76-year-old legendary infielder, who played in Major League Baseball for a long 19 years, showed his disappointment at not being a part of the Angels leadership group.

The legendary infielder played 19 seasons in the MLB for the Minnesota Twins (1967-78) and for the Los Angeles Angels (1979-85). Carew on Friday showed his disappointment towards the Angels and appreciated his former club Minnesota Twins for their treatment towards him.

Rod Carew on Jan 22nd posted a throwback photo on his Twitter account. In which he is wearing the Twins’ gears and got nostalgic about his time at the Minnesota club.
“All smiles thinking about my time with the Twins. Boy does this photo bring back memories,” Carew tweeted.

Hours after Carew posted the photo on Twitter, a user asked him about his allegiance to the Angels. And if he equally divides his allegiance towards the Angels and the Twins. Of which, Carew said, he loves Angel fans as much as the Twins fans. But the only difference is the Angels’ leadership does not want him on board and the Twins do.
