In early 2022, when the UFC head honcho gave a chance to its rival promotion’s undefeated contender, Yazmin Jauregui (11-1-0), no one expected her to survive in the UFC’s cutthroat competition, widely regarded as the most grueling in all of MMA. However, Jauregui silenced her critics with her debut fight against Iasmin Lucindo. This Mexican phenom has proven herself at every step.

Meet Fernando Amado, Yazmin Jauregui’s husband: What does he do?

Just like Yazmin Jauregi, Fernando Amado is also a mixed martial artist based in Mexico. The two fighters first met in 2016 while training at Entram Gym in Mexico. Amado, now a coach at the same gym, has permanently shifted his focus to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In 2016, he was promoted to purple belt, solidifying his status in combat sports. The achievement led him to win the gold medal at the IBJJF Irvine Open, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Even though Fernando Amado is no longer fighting professionally, he continues to make an impact in MMA by training top-notch fighters like Alejandro Perez and Adrian Oviedo. Their performances in the promotion are a testament to Amado’s teaching skills. Recently, Fernando Amado was seen training UFC’s top-ranked contender Merab Dvalishvili alongside his son, as posted on his social media account.

Yes, you heard right, ‘son’ Yazmin Jauregui, a formidable fighter at just 25 years, is not only a top competitor but also a mother to two sons. To learn more about Jauregui and Amado’s children, continue reading the article.

All we know about Yazmin Jauregui and Fernando Amado’s kid

Yazmin Jauregui’s older son’s name is Matias, who appears to be no older than five years old based on pictures, while the name of their other son remains undisclosed in the public domain. Unlike other celebrity fighters, Jauregui and Amado do not believe in concealing their son’s face. Instead, they allow him to have a personal Instagram account, where he is not just an ordinary boy but actively performs Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, much like his father.

However, this does not mean that young Matias is not close to his mother. Yazmin Jauregui was the first to bring her son into the spotlight with a heartfelt Instagram post in 2022, where she wrote, “Daddy, mom is working to fulfill a dream, you have been part of this since you came ami vida and you have been my biggest engine Thank you for your patience for your most sincere love.”

Now, with the immense support of her family, Yazmin Jauregui is not set to showcase her skills at UFC 306: Riyadh Season Noche, the promotion’s most expensive event. She is ready to face her fellow countrywoman, Ketlen Souza, tomorrow. Who will you be rooting for, Yazmin Jauregui or Souza? Drop your opinion below.
