The Octagon is more than a battleground. It’s a stage. And like any stage, the music matters. Before their fists fly, fighters set the tone with their walkout songs. At UFC Noche in San Antonio, the beats that echo through the Frost Bank Center may be just as memorable as the battles that follow.

Diego Lopes vs. Jean Silva walkout song
Diego Lopes has become the spirit of UFC Noche as he also stepped into the Octagon at UFC 306 for the event. Though Brazilian by birth, he represents Mexico with pride. Last time, for his title bout against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 314, he walked out to ‘La Chona’ by Los Tucanes De Tijuana.
The choice was no accident; it was a nod to his adopted country, a rallying cry for fans who see him as one of their own. Will he stick with the classic for his headliner against Jean Silva? It wouldn’t be a surprise.

Silva, on the other hand, carries an entirely different energy. At UFC 314, he stormed into the cage with ‘Sandstorm’ by Jayron and Gewoonraves. The fast-paced electronic anthem mirrored his fight style: relentless, chaotic, impossible to ignore.
The bout also carries weight for the Brazilian as he’s now the only ‘Fighting Nerds’ member in the UFC who is undefeated. As such, speaking to CBS Sports, he recently stated, “Everyone knows how close I am to Ruffy. Obviously, it was upsetting but it doesn’t change anything. I go in there with a lot of love. I love what I do. I put all my heart into it. You won’t find someone who trains more than me. When I fought Drew Dober, I broke both hands. Three days later, I was riding the bike at the UFC Performance Institute. I love what I do.”

The remarks were referencing his teammate’s losses at UFC Paris. He insists pressure is fuel, not a burden. Lopes, however, thinks the opposite. As per his conversation with CBS Sports, “He’s the only guy from his team who is still undefeated in the UFC. I think he has a lot of responsibility on him. This is better for me. Maybe he tries to do everything perfectly. When you try to do everything perfectly, you make many mistakes.”
Beyond the main event of UFC Noche, the other fighters also have their own rhythm as we now shift our focus over to the song choices for Rob Font, Kelvin Gastelum, Alexander Hernandez, and more!
Entrance music for Rob Font, Kelvin Gastelum & others
Rob Font, a steady veteran, has often walked out to Damian Marley’s ‘Welcome to Jamrock’. The song, with its gritty energy, mirrors Font’s scrappy fighting style. He was originally set to face Raul Rosas Jr., but now meets David Martinez at UFC Noche.
Kelvin Gastelum is another fighter with a signature sound. Fans have come to expect him moving to ‘Swag Surfin’ by F.L.Y. But this time, the vibes are different. Gastelum missed weight by five pounds, turning his fight with Dustin Stoltzfus into a catchweight bout. The music may still hit, but the tune of his career feels uneasy.

Jared Gordon often chooses ‘By Faith I Will Find It’ by Steve Furtick, reflecting his openly religious persona. Alexander Hernandez, unpredictable as ever, has alternated between ‘Dreams’ by Fleetwood Mac and Kanye West’s ‘I Wonder’. His opponent, Carlos Diego Ferreira, once picked Kenny Loggins’ ‘Footloose’, a playful choice that surprised fans. Stoltzfus himself has leaned into the raw aggression of Rammstein’s ‘Du Hast’.
As such, walkout songs aren’t just noise. They’re also a fighter’s identity. They set the mood, tempo, and sometimes even destiny. So, what’s your favorite track from the list above? Let us know your picks in the comments below!
