The world of mixed martial arts has lost a few fighters over the past few months. Francis Ngannou and Nate Diaz have left the Ultimate Fighting Championship and ventured out as free agents. Without a doubt, the trend has brought a shroud of disappointment and sorrow to the UFC world. Despite the fact that becoming free agents allowed the fighters to explore newer possibilities, it creates a void in the promotions that’s usually difficult to fill.

However, the former UFC double champion, Conor McGregor, seemingly stood against the trend. Although the Irish fighter stayed out of action for a couple of years, his loyalty toward the MMA promotion hasn’t shifted. In a recent conversation with Ariel Helwani on ‘The MMA Hour’, the ‘Mystic Man’ revealed his love for the company and declared that he wished to end his career at the UFC. 

Conor McGregor won’t become a free agent

In the recent episode of ‘The MMA Hour’, ‘The Notorious’ revealed his love for the UFC. Helwani stumbled upon Diaz and Ngannou leaving the fight promotion and asked McGregor if he thought there was a shift in business. He asked, “Are we seeing a shift in the business, right now, do you think?”

The former double champion simply refused to leave the UFC. McGregor claimed that the UFC was, in fact, the pinnacle of his career. He said, “Not for me. For me, the UFC is the pinnacle. And it’s the company that I love. It’s the company I wish to be with for the rest of my career.” The fighter’s love for the company indeed impressed the reporter.

Helwani further questioned if the fighter would choose to become a free agent when his UFC contract would terminate. However, the Dubliner showed no intention of leaving. He said, “I wanna be in the UFC. That’s my catalog is in the UFC. My highlight is really in the UFC.”

Thus, the Irishman is not keen on taking a similar route like Diaz and Ngannou to become a free agent and explore.

Conor McGregor’s free advice to Francis Ngannou

Undoubtedly, McGregor’s team at Paradigm Sports Management is pretty prompt with the legal and managerial sides of mixed martial arts and has ensured great success for the Irish warrior. Hence, the Dubliner asked Ngannou to seek it out. He took to Instagram and wrote, “Correct representation is imperative. Seek @paradigmsports!“
