The last time UFC came to London, United Kingdom, for a Fight Night event, it did some pretty good numbers, and it seems like 2025 could be even better. A month ago, Dana White and Co. announced their return to the Island nation in March 2022, and the CEO might have found an option to headline that event as Sean Brady recently called out former champion Leon Edwards for a fight in “his backyard.”
“I wanna go to London and I wanna fight Leon in his backyard, March 22nd,” said Sean Brady following his win over Richie Martinez at Fury Pro Grappling 12. He’d added, “I’m hoping that the UFC can make it happen, but we’ll see,” claiming that it all depends on UFC to materialize this fight. Besides, Sean Brady has been on a roll, with just one and only MMA loss in his career, with wins over former title challengers and veterans of the division.
With Leon Edwards in the picture, Dana White could do better numbers this time and might even cross the $2.5 million mark that the previous event made as the total gate in 2023. The Jamaican-born star has proved to be a consistent headliner in recent times, and maybe putting him on a Fight Night main event won’t be a bad idea for the CEO and his matchmaking team.

When Dana White and his promotion arrive in London on March 22nd, it will be UFC’s 30th event in the British capital, a landmark moment for the organization. So let’s take a look at the fights that have already been decided for the card as of now.
Dana White’s decided fights for UFC London 2025
Dana White has already scheduled a total of six fights so far from the London Fight Night event, and it features a highly anticipated light heavyweight bout. Former champion Jan Blachowicz, who’s registered just one win since losing the title to Glover Teixeira in 2021, will return to engage in a battle against the 12-New Zealand star Carlos Ulberg, but it isn’t the main event even though the bout has a former champion in it. The UFC is still working on it as their website claims that the main event will be declared soon.

The venue of the event, on the other hand, will be the famous 02 Arena, which is the same arena where Dana White held the last London event that ended with an impressive knockout victory for interim champion Tom Aspinall after his return from injury. With more than three months left for the event, it would be interesting to see how the card for Fight Night turns out.
What’s your perspective on:
Can Sean Brady dethrone Leon Edwards in his own backyard, or is this a step too far?
Have an interesting take?
Leon Edwards isn’t going to get a rematch for the title given that Shavkat Rakhmonov is now in the running to grab that opportunity. So maybe coming back to fight Sean Brady could be a good option. But will Dana White consider this option? That remains to be seen.
