Those who claimed that women’s MMA fights were boring, changed their perspective when they witnessed the war between Zhang Weili and Tatiana Suarez at UFC 312. We already knew that Weili had honed her striking skills to nigh on perfection. But her will to grapple against someone with arguably the strongest ground game in the division won our hearts. But what’s next? 

This was the question that ate up the minds of many fight fans. Therefore, we thought of asking artificial intelligence for some help. And you won’t believe what OpenAI’s ChatGPT predicted!

Legacy super-fight against Valentina Shevchenko

As per OpenAI’s ChatGPT, ‘Magnum’ has already wiped the strawweight division clean. Well, except for the #4 strawweight contender Virna Jandiroba, Weili has defeated the rest of the top 5 strawweight fighters. And with her victory over the formerly undefeated Suarez, the Chinese strawweight champion established her stance as the best in her division. Hence, the AI predicted Weili’s move to the women’s flyweight division. 

And the one waiting for Zhang Weili in the flyweight realm would be none other than the champion of the division, Valentina Shevchenko. Well, with the kind of performance Weili showed against her former opponents, it would be pretty interesting to see a historic fight between her and the Kyrgyz champion. This bout would be the true test of Weili’s power. 

‘Bullet’ has an arsenal of elite striking skills. Paired with her grappling prowess, Shevchenko has indeed become an unstoppable force in the women’s mixed martial arts realm. The only ones who were able to stop her were Alexa Grasso and Amanda Nunes. And out of them, Shevchenko has already redeemed herself against Grasso. If Weili manages to secure a victory against the flyweight champion, it’d cement her as one of the greatest female fighters to have ever graced the Octagon. On top of that, Weili with her continuous evolution would also make claims of becoming a double champion. 

But in order to move forward, the Chinese strawweight champion needed to clear out every single fighter in the top 5 list of her weight category. And she still needed to prove herself against Virna Jandiroba. Well, that’s what the AI claimed.  

Strawweight title defense against Virna Jandiroba

Of course, now that she has already proven herself with 3 consecutive and successful title defenses in the strawweight category, she could easily move to the flyweight division and compete against the best there. But if she decided to stay a strawweight, the AI pushed her to take up a fight against ‘Carcara’. The Brazilian mixed martial artist has also secured a win over Lemos, who gave Weili quite a bit of trouble during their bout at UFC 292. 

Jandiroba is elite when it comes to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Needless to say, if Weili manages to rise victorious against ‘Carcara’, she will prove that she has no weaknesses and her move to the flyweight division to strive for another championship belt won’t come under dispute. However, coming off of a win against Suarez, we can certainly expect Weili to walk through Jandiiroba with ease.
