UFC fans in Latin America and Australia are in for a treat. The upcoming UFC-Paramount+ partnership will now cover these regions, giving fans a one-stop shop for all UFC events. As confirmed in a recent press release, the renewed deal will now cover Latin America and Australia, starting in 2026 and running through 2032. Beyond the financial scope, Paramount’s latest expansion reflects a strategic effort to rebuild its reputation in Latin America, a region where the broadcasting giant faced criticism a few years ago.

Beginning January 2026, the UFC’s long-standing partnership with ESPN will officially conclude as the promotion transitions entirely under the Paramount banner in a deal worth $7.7 billion. Speaking about the next chapter of the deal, Dana White remarked, “They are now taking on new territories like Latin America and Australia, and this thing is just going to continue to grow…. I love it.” While the two sides initially signed the agreement back in August, this expansion marks a major milestone in the UFC’s ongoing push for global dominance.

Paramount–UFC deal just “keeps getting bigger and better

Much like other major broadcasting giants, Paramount spent last year aggressively cutting millions in operational costs, a decision that came at the cost of the bread and livelihoods of thousands. The wave of restructuring didn’t spare its Latin American division either, affecting countries like Colombia. As regional journalist Rodrigo Del Campo González revealed on X, the company “fired around 200 people and sold their Premier and Champions League rights to other broadcasters.”

While the layoffs reportedly continue, Paramount’s newly expanded deal with the UFC could mark the beginning of a rebuilding phase. Addressing the development, González shared his perspective, “The deal includes Brazil, that to me tells me that I would not be surprised that the current UFC produced broadcasts in Spanish for ESPN Deportes and in Portuguese for UFC Fight Pass, both made in Vegas, are the ones offered by Paramount.”

UFC CEO Dana White also confirmed the move, saying, “The partnership with Paramount has already been incredible and it just keeps getting bigger and better.” The strategy makes sense, helping the promotion cut costs and tackle content piracy. As for pricing, subscription rates for Paramount+ in Latin American and Australian markets have yet to be revealed. With many recent decisions centered around Latin America, Australian UFC fans also stand to benefit. Until now, viewers had to empty their pockets across multiple platforms like Kayo Sports and Foxtel Now.

With this new deal, fans will finally get everything under one roof without having to spend extra on different services. Starting in 2026, they’ll no longer need to pay $79.99 per pay-per-view event, as those same fights will be available through a monthly streaming package priced between $5.99 and $11.99, depending on the selected Paramount+ plan.

While everything seems set and locked, tension has started to build within Paramount America as the company’s merger with Skydance moves forward. The broadcasting giant has reportedly put nearly 2,000 employees on alert as part of its $2 billion cost-cutting plan.

Paramount officially addresses its latest expansion with the UFC

Paramount continues to expand its presence in the streaming market, but not without leaving some of its traditional platforms behind. From December 31, 2025, the company will shut down MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Paramount, and several other pay-TV channels in Brazil and other regions as it shifts focus to the Paramount+ direct-to-consumer model.

For UFC fans in Latin America and Australia, this transition brings positive news. They will now join American viewers in enjoying full access to every moment of UFC action through the newly expanded UFC–Paramount partnership. The deal includes 13 major numbered events and 30 UFC Fight Night cards, all broadcast live, with select events airing on CBS. The move strengthens the promotion’s global reach while giving fans a single, affordable destination for premium UFC content. Adding to the excitement, Guilherme Cruz reported on X that “the Paramount+ UFC’s old fight archives will also be transferred from UFC Fight Pass to the platform from the beginning of 2026.”

As 2025 draws to a close, anticipation continues to grow among fans and UFC CEO Dana White for what lies ahead under the Paramount banner. Paramount’s Cindy Holland highlighted the company’s vision for the collaboration, saying, “Delivering premium UFC programming to audiences on a global scale remains a top priority for Paramount. We are thrilled to expand upon the historic offering of UFC content for Paramount+ subscribers across all plans to more passionate and engaged fans around the world.”
