His last fight was against Lightweight extraordinaire Justin Gaethje, after which the Eagle retired with an unimaginable 29-0-0 record. Following his footsteps closely is a Welterweight fighter hailing from Kazakhstan. This fighter has had a mean streak of his own that is slightly comparable to Nurmagomedov’s.

New ‘Nomad’ in the Welterweight Division

Shavkat Rakhmonov is the Welterweight fighter that everyone is talking about. Nicknamed ‘Nomad’, this terrific fighter has been following Nurmagomedov’s footsteps – dominating and decimating every opponent that stands in his way. With an impressive 17-0-0 win streak, the Nomad seems to be on a roll. To some, in certain ways, this is history repeating itself.

After all that Khabib Nurmagomedov has achieved inside the Octagon, a fighter would have to really prove his mettle to be able to compare themselves with ‘The Eagle’. Even then, fans will dispute it. Shavkat Rakhmonov has been on a really good run, but whether he is another Nurmagomedov in the making is still arguable for most.
