Specifically, the reporter inquired whether O’Malley would be granted a title shot rematch against Merab Dvalishvili, given their ongoing rivalry.

Melquizael Costa reveals anxiety crisis before his UFC contract renewal
Melquizael Costa thought his days in the UFC were over after a 253-day hiatus before facing Andre Fili at UFC Seattle. However, he secured a victory over Fili via submission. Leading up to the fight, Costa was extremely nervous, believing his fighting career had come to an end—until the UFC offered him a contract extension.
While having a conversation with MMA Fighting, Costa emphasized, “I’m a very anxious person, brother. I even had anxiety crisis. There were days I called my master at 2:00 in the morning. I couldn’t sleep. I had four fights [in the UFC], won two and lost two, and thought they would renew it, but it wasn’t coming. You only truly believe it when you sign it.”
Costa revealed that it was such a troubling time for him that he even had thoughts about working for Uber or going back to teaching. The Brazilian admitted, “I started to think about my daughter, so it really was very distressing. And money’s running short.
