At present, with the lightweight title vacant, there’s been uncertainty about the next title contender. Fans want Islam Makhachev to get the next shot, but not before passing the Beneil Dariush test. Featherweight king Alexander Volkanovski has also expressed interest in becoming a double champion. However, it is the first double champion who is doing the rounds.
