UFC’s marquee names, Jon Jones, Ciryl Gane, Ilia Topuria, and others have found themselves targeted in a brutal rap diss track. UFC heavyweight contender Josh Hokit, who is already slated to fight for massive glory this month, has aimed at all of them. But why?

The Californian is scheduled to fight heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane for the undisputed belt at UFC 334 on November 14. Before the first title fight of his life, Hokit decided to stir some drama by uploading a rap video to his YouTube channel. He launched a full diss track with a mix of AI-generated footage and actual digital shots.
‘The Incredible Hok’ titled the video “MSG Freestyle,” named after Madison Square Garden, the very venue where his next fight will take place, and also revealed his rap alias to be J-Word.
Hokit kicked off his explicit diss track by taking shots at reigning heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane, assuring that the Frenchman won’t get jumped by him and his team.
“Hey Ciryl Gane… come outside.. We won’t jump you,” Hokit said right at the beginning.
Right after, the heavyweight contender started flowing with his verse, brutally targeting former first lady Michelle Obama and Alex Pereira.
“D–k bigger than Michelle Obama.. Alex Pereira gonna chama on yo mama. I don’t play about the drama; I’mma beat you with my bare hands. I don’t need a lama b—ch,” Hokit added.
Josh Hokit made a highly controversial statement, calling Michelle Obama a “man” after beating Derrick Lewis at UFC White House. He is also entangled in a generational beef with Alex Pereira since the Brazilian moved to the heavyweight division. Both moments shaped the course of Hokit’s career and character in the UFC, and he firmly placed those instances at the start of his diss track.
Right after, a clip showed former UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall on a hospital bed, and Hokit had some words for him and Nina Drama, matching the rhyme of the rap.

“Tom Aspinall with the trauma,” Hokit said. “Imma go get you the commas. Imma f— Nina for drama. I’m heating things up like a dial- up sauna.
Hokit also issued a threatening message toward Derrick Lewis, as well.
“Going to beat you up. Going to beat you, clueless. Think I’m playing? Watch your a**, Derek Lewis. Am I fake or am I soul real? Ask Derek how those elbows feel.”
Hokit dissing the aforementioned people was understandable, as each had some history behind them. However, his shots at Jon Jones turned out to be a massive surprise.
The 28-year-old compared the former two-division champion as “Sean Combs,” which is actual name of the famous convicted rapper ‘P-Diddy.’ The video showed Jones applying baby oil on his body.
The diss on Jones is particularly surprising because the Californian doesn’t have a history of personal beef with him. However, there was one instance where Hokit did criticize ‘Bones.’
Hokit felt that Jones hurt the career of his teammate Gable Steveson, right after Steveson’s loss at UFC 331. That didn’t create an exchange between him and Jones, that makes the diss even more surprising.
Following them, Josh Hokit spent an ample amount of time dissing Ciryl Gane. The 28-year-old’s video featured an AI-generated clip of him digging the Frenchman’s grave with the UFC title left beside him.
“Ciryl Gane or the pain when I’m in the ring,” Hokit said. “Cemetery digging graves. You can’t win a fade. Dirty plays. Yeah. Lame and that is g–y. Hit the back of your head. That’s how he’s winning. Hey, dirty fighting Frenchie leaving in a diaper”.
Then comes perhaps the most important part of the track: the hook Hokit used.
“I have been training… I have been focused,” Hokit said. “Knock you out in front of POTUS. It don’t matter who the foe is. Middle finger in the air for team Hokit.”
Despite Hokit clearly not sparing anyone in his diss track, the hook clarifies that his brutal aim is essentially to show that he’s feeling confident and ready before his first title fight against Gane on November 14.
However, they were not the only fighters featured on the diss track. The future heavyweight title challenger also targeted Ilia Topuria.
Josh Hokit disses Ilia Topuria
Alongside the other names, Josh Hokit gave a special place to his nemesis Ilia Topuria as well. The UFC heavyweight contender’s video featured an AI-generated image of the former two-division champion’s loss to Justin Gaethje in the UFC White House main event.
The clip showed Topuria screaming with marks of damage on his face while Hokit rapped the following lines.
“White House, I got no chill. Saw the champ strike out in his whole squeal,” Hokit said about Topuria.
Josh Hokit may be a heavyweight, but he wasn’t shying away from confrontations with former lightweight champion Ilia Topuria. The two had a tense moment at the UFC White House presser in New Jersey in May.
At the presser, Hokit hurled his infamous “chama on yo mama” toward Pereira, which got a reaction out of Topuria, who threw an object at the Californian. Security subsequently escorted Hokit out of the premises. Later, their beef intensified even more when Hokit dissed Topuria about his high-profile divorce at the Lincoln Memorial press conference.
Well, this is the first time Josh Hokit has used a rap track to diss his adversaries. His rap video also included sponsors, which worked as promotional material. Still, he’s certainly not the only one to do so.
Before Hokit, YouTube-turned-boxer Jake Paul also made a rap track dissing Dana White about fighter pay and taking shots at potential opponents like Anderson Silva and Jorge Masvidal. Also, Ryan Garcia made a diss track trolling Devin Haney following their fight in 2024.
Josh Hokit’s rap number will be subject to everyone’s individual liking. However, it is definitely capable of turning some heads before his title fight this month.
