Remember David Adesanya? No? Let us remind you. David is the younger brother of UFC superstar Israel Adesanya by four years. Although young, he’s been a big part of ‘Izzy’s MMA journey from behind the scenes. From managing his YouTube channel to running his clothing brand Engage, David keeps the machine running while letting his brother shine. Known for his playful nature, David recently found himself in a hilarious moment during an encounter with Israel Adesanya and featherweight king Alexander Volkanovski. Trying to land a kick on a body bag, David’s effort didn’t quite go as planned, and the entire scene quickly turned into a comedy sketch, leaving everyone in stitches.
In a viral video uploaded by Israel Adesanya on his Instagram handle, David Adesanya attempts a spinning back kick. However, the move turns into a hilarious disaster as he not only misses the body bag but also falls down, prompting both Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski to burst into laughter. Well, David Adesanya is known to lighten the mood through his tricks.
Back in 2024, the younger Adesanya brother attempted to replicate his brother’s picture-perfect spinning kick. This incident took place during an out-of-competition training session while Israel Adesanya was preparing for his upcoming fight against Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Saudi Arabia. In the viral clip, David Adesanya can be seen stepping up to the challenge, but he fails in spectacular fashion.

Not only did he lose his balance, but he also fell to the ground, and the moment was so comical that Israel Adesanya couldn’t stop laughing. Israel and David are miles apart in terms of skills, but one thing that keeps them intact, other than their brotherly relationship as well as their business, is their love for comical scenes.
Well, now that we know about their comical incident, let us have a look at Sean O’Malley’s coach, who believes that Israel Adesanya has no sour thoughts even after being marred by defeats.
Israel Adesanya doesn’t have an ounce of “Bitterness” as per Tim Welch
Riding a three-fight losing streak, Israel Adesanya is trying his best to make a comeback. After his defeat to Sean Strickland at UFC 293, Adesanya has been plagued by misfortune. In his return bout, he lost to Dricus Du Plessis, and in February, he was knocked out by Nassourdine Imavov. Imagine this: merely two years ago, you were the boogeyman of the division, and now you are facing back-to-back defeats. This would have broken apart any soul, but not Israel Adesanya.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Tim Welch explained that he and Sean O’Malley had trained with the former middleweight champion, who showed no remorse in his past fights.“I didn’t know what to expect with Izzy. I have seen him a couple of times in fight weeks, and like just saw him, but you never know what people are dealing with in fight weeks. They’re cutting weight. I didn’t know about him.”

He further added, “But he came and hung out with us, and it was crazy just how humble the dude was. How humble he was, and how just nice of a dude he was. And like you’d think, he would kind of be bitter, he is coming off three losses, he may be bitter or just bad mood, but he wasn’t. He just seemed so at peace.”
As of now, Israel Adesanya is taking a break from his career, but he has assured that he will come back sooner or later. Given that, what are your thoughts on the kick? State your opinion in the comments below.
